We are remodeling the basement of our 3 year old new construction.

We want to extend the threatre and want to move a wall about 4 feet out (tearing it down and standing up a new wall - 4 feet out).

The wall is load bearing.

Can this wall be reconstructed using standards measures (beams etc to account for load bearing wall) or do we need to worry about foundation slabs.
