I love the edge pulls. I wanted a really minimal look that almost disappears. No cons that I can see. They're easy to pull and I like the looks too. All my drawers are 30". The pulls are 2" long and I used the same size on everything with the exception of the paneled dw. I used the same pull, but a 7.5" length on the dw. They do wrap over the top and screw in the back. Theyre about 1-3/8" deep and there's .5" gap from door front to inside of the pull for fingers. They're from Ikea and called the Streckett. I'm not sure what they're made of... maybe a chromed aluminum?? They're very thin on the top and didn't require routering. That's actually what pushed me into selecting them. I found some gorgeous stainless pulls by Linea, but they were really thick and would have required routering. The ikea pulls had the look I wanted, were super affordable and had a much easier install. I'm totally happy with them.

Oh I don't think it would look odd at all, in fact I think it would look odder if you had a 3" pull on a 36" drawer. Here's what I would do: cut out some thin cardboard in the different dimensions and place them on the top of each drawer and see how it looks proportionally...you may find you can easily get away with just 2 sizes, or you may find that all 3 look perfect, but mock it up first so you can envision it and how they will look together. Also you mention it's 2 different rooms...if they're completely separate and not just one big room flowing together then you don't have to be as concerned with consistency as much...you want the pulls to match of course, but you won't notice the sizing difference at all if in separate rooms.

I had to do the same thing with some cabinet doors, although the cabinet was custom made and I had given the cabinet maker the dimensions of the pulls, he still didn't leave enough room! A good finish carpenter can do it easily. You just need someone who takes pride in their work and knows how to measure twice and cut one! My doors stayed without pulls for a while until I had a GC in the house doing some other work and I asked him to install the recessed pulls. It didn't take him long at all.

@orangecamera, what size of pulls did you go with? Did you measure the center to center length to decide on the pull length or the overall length of the pull. For example, a 12” overall length of the pull has 10” of center to center.
