Need Solution to Ralph Lauren Paint Problems
Comments (4)I was gonna print this formula at work today, but forgot! (obviously it's not much of a formula!) RL has changed much for the better from 6 yrs. ago when SW manufactured it! It's been made by ICI since then. Weird coincidence here... Just today, a painter in town wanted us to match some ACE colors into RL!! About 12 gallons worth...he loves using RL for his jobs. Either way, buy newer paint...whether or not it's RL. It'll perform better. Faron...See MoreThe new Ralph Lauren collection is up and is it pricey
Comments (24)I had to reorder in a queen. I have had numerous king size duvets before and they're always the right size, but this one is too big. I realized that I now have a Tempurpedic and a low profile box spring, which drastically cut down on what width you need. So I'm waiting for the new size. The crazy thing is that RL website has the duvet for $425 when Saks is doing a pre-order (it won't be available at Saks until mid October just like Bloomingdales) for $300 with free shipping. The shams are basically the same price on both. I'm calling RL to complain today because that's an insane difference, and having now seen it in person, I'm not sure it's worth $425. It's nice, as RL stuff always is, but it's just cotton. It's still made in China. The bolster pillow will be ready in two weeks, and I've decided on the quilt or bedspread that I'm going to use. I just went to Country Curtains (the same place that I bought the velvet panels before having the trim sewn on), and they sell coordinating bedding colors. So I thought the quilt/bedspread in the same sort of color as the drapes was a good idea. Ever other one I saw was too cream or khaki colored. The ends of the bolster will be the same velvet as the drapes....See MoreNew Ralph Lauren Tartan Bedding Here (Update on Master)
Comments (28)Beautiful choices, beautiful room. Lucky you have a RL Home store so close and got such great deals. BTW, I think I'd hang the hunting print near the chair. Don't blame you for not wanting to get rid of the boat oil, but that space just begs for the hunt print. But maybe it needs a wider frame? It's hard to tell in the photo just how it might fit in the space....See MoreThe Ralph Lauren "brand" ...
Comments (50)I always found him incredibly boring, and I very much disliked his "preppy" style - especially the shirts with the stupid polo ponies on them. I lived in San Francisco when these were popular - among the bourgeois crowd, with whom I had little in common. Anyway, just not my then, then or now. Recently, we had a production manager at work who had just come from Ralph Lauren furniture, and I did not get along with this PM at all. He was very bossy and asked me if I wanted him to be my supervisor instead of the boss I already had, who was the owner of the company. He wanted to be able to tell me what to do, but when he did, I told him that he would have to get approval from his boss, who was also my boss. Needless to say, we clashed a lot. He also considered himself to be a designer, but instead of coming up with original designs, he copied designs from Jean-Michel Frank, which I proved to my boss. I'm sure this did not endear me to him, but there was nothing he could do about it. My original designs did get produced instead of his counterfeits....See Morekculbers
