Your system -- where do you store your supplies?
Comments (4)Hi --I know what you mean. I just bought some sturdy plastic shelves about 6' high and store everything on there--The key is going through at least once a year and organizing everything. I keep small items like epsom salts, etc. in glass jars with lids and everthing else in clear plastic containers so i can see what's in it. You can find these at any big box store. The key is being able to look up at the shelves and see everything without diggin in it. I also stapled chicken wire to the ceiling of my garage out of the walkways and use this to hang stuff with S hooks I bought at the hardware store, or just bent clothes hanger wire will work. Good luck....See MoreWhere do you store the cushions to your outdoor furniture?
Comments (21)I looked at storage boxes but sometimes space and spending money on that may not work for everybody, and bringing them in and out was annoying on a daily basis... I bought a giant square cover that goes over the sectional couch and then the fire pit props out the empty corner - just throwing that over everything was the cheapest and easiest solution for me. I'll bring cushions in for the winter and use the same cover over the furniture frames, even if I have to buy a new cover every year or 2 it still made the most sense. Any recommendations for patio furniture that is comfortable WITHOUT cushion, please post! :)...See MoreWhere Do You Store Your Non Perishable Foods?
Comments (19)I have a nice little walk-in, but not much food is stored in it.....my rices and assorted grains, a little bit of pasta, vinegars, oils, jars and cans of different kinds of beans, sauces and tomato products, a little supply of baking requirements, and herbs/spices. Most of the space is used to park all of those appliances that I refuse to keep on my kitchen counter, a minor quirk of mine. I also store stacks of dishes in their covers and the serving items and platters needed for entertaining. I don't know what I would do without the space....See MoreWhere do you store your recipes online?
Comments (23)I copy and paste recipes into Word documents and save them to an external portable drive. I have different folders set up: My Favorite Recipes, Holidays, Recipes to Try, etc., and within each of those folders categories set up. Categories such as Meat with subolders of Pork, Beef, Veal, Lamb; a category of Poultry with subfolders for Chicken, Duck, Cornish Hens, Duck, Turkey; and on and on. To me, this method makes it very easy to find a specific recipe I am looking for or to browse the recipes for an idea of something to cook....See Moremxk3 z5b_MI
