why I would buy sub-zero/wolf again (not that I will need to for
Comments (5)wow, that is so good to hear!! i was having a problem with the probe in my single wolf oven, called about 4:30 on monday and had a new one by wednesday. Awesome! and whats also nice is that when you call and give your name, they have all your info and seriel # of appl. so you don't have to repeat everything and dig out all your literature. maybe other companies do this also, but this as my first call for a problem. agree, that is great customer service!!!! so happy for your "surprise", that's fabulous!!!!...See Moreliebherr 49 vs sub zero 42 for remodel. What would you do?
Comments (12)I decided to go with the really big guns and get the sz columns - one for fridge and one for freezer (27in wide ea with approx. 16.3 cu ft ea.) this way we will have plenty of room for his: frozen peas and amy's veggie burritos and hers: homemade chicken stock and pancetta for a rainy day. Guess which one is a vegetarian! I considered the Liebherr but I've seen them and do have concerns about not having enough storage. We don't have the luxury of having an extra fridge somewhere else (nyc apt.) and so this is my one change to go for broke (which is exactly what I'm doing!) I will be ordering the 36" c culinarian (4 burners plus grill) would love the 48 but then between the range and the fridge there would be no room for cupboards (galley kitchen). Trevor recommended the 42" prestige 1200 cfm to go with the range....See MoreSub Zero on Ebay---Would You?
Comments (14)You are not risking $5k. You are risking the hastle of invoking ebay buyer protection/filing CC fraud claim. Ebay buyer protection covers entire purchase price plus shipping. I have saved over $10k on appliances so far and only had to file a claim with ebay once.Took a couple of weeks and got my money back. Purchased a hood with blower that cost $4500 plus 8.75% sales tax at my local authorized dealer for $900 delivered to my door from seller with zero feedback that was just starting his appliance liquidation business. It was absolutely perfect....See MoreWould you report sub to GC?
Comments (25)Weissman, Customs are different in different places and for different crews. Around here GC's always provide porta potties, and every time I've ever had any workers they either brought their own lunches or left the site. I was glad to pay for the extension on the porta potty, during the delay while they were only working a day or so every couple of weeks, because it made them more comfortable, and it keep the construction dirt out of the powder room, which was also my source of "kitchen" washing. During the remodel, there was a lunch truck that came around as well. They always know where work is being done. The remodeling crew did use the patio furniture, and were, of course, very welcome to do so. When I previously had my house painted, the crew sat on upturned empty buckets, toolboxes, or drop cloths on the ground while they ate. They do that so as not to transfer paint from their clothes. My GC would blow a gasket if one of his workers asked for, let alone took food without asking. He often brings them a nice lunch, but that's beside the point. He also told me that I was not to be feeding them (I had expected to make coffee and, at the least), though he didn't mind if I passed out cold water on hot days. There's a level of professionalism that his crew, and the others I've employed, adhere to. BTW, firefighters here also adhere to the code of honesty. I remember during a very bad firestorm, one of the crew left $.50 and a note saying thanks for the coke, after saving a family's house from burning down. Do you think they begrudged the coke?? Never! But while the firefighter might have been desperate for a caffeine/sugar rush or something, he would never steal a coke no matter how well he knew that the owners would make him welcome....See Morecolleenoz
