Exterior white paint...warm but not cream? Is it possible?
Comments (4)I used a Sherwin Williams Martha Stewart color on the outside of my house called Picket Fence. It is white with a touch of yellow, which makes it look like a warm (not cold) white. It actually snowed yesterday and as I was outside playing with the dogs, I was noticing how the white on the house looked so warm compared to the bright white of the snow. But it is still definitely white - I found that a lot of colors that were recommended to me had a lot of gray in them and looked dingy -- this doesn't do that at all. SW does not have the Martha line anymore, but if you called them, I bet they still have the formula and could mix you a sample quart. Here's a pic -- in the pic below, the paint on the porch post and along the eaves/soffits of the porch is the old "bright white" that we had on our house prior to painting. The body of the siding is the "picket fence" color. Hopefully you can see the difference - I know it's hard on a computer....See MoreFast and Furious in Warm White Reveal with pictures!!
Comments (31)Love the floor so far... I'm hoping it holds up. I'm not worried about the surface, as it's a commercial floor. I do worry about the possibility of water getting into the planks. Regarding the layout - we did take away the 12" cabinets and counter on the one wall. It was a huge junk collector and made the room feel smaller. We added 14" to the overall depth of the island (by backing 14" microwave/cabinet on the back side of the island) and added about 10" of overall length. By going to a D shaped single bowl sink, I was able to shrink the sink base cabinet and add a 15" cabinet that we retrofitted with a pull-out recycling can. The island is a fabulous work space and serving space now. I love it!...See MoreWhat is the best warm Gray tone equivalent of "Cloud White"?
Comments (1)Totally random but I put cloud white in my search and this wisdom came up. Worth looking at BM White Dove. People also ask What color is cloud white? What is cloud white? What is the difference between cloud white and simply white?Unlike the Cloud White, the White Dove has a little less yellow, and more gray creating still a warm but more neutral coloured off white. White Dove is a completely versatile colour, suitable for trim, kitchen cabinets as well as walls.Feb 9, 2016...See Morewhich of these warm white paint colors to pair with travertine floor?
Comments (7)The entryway has basically no natural light. The hallway is sort of an open hallway...a bit hard to explain...but it gets light from a 5' opening to the living room which has large windows, and then it opens into an eat-in space which has some natural light. The other issue is that we're having a built-in with a bench and coat hooks added in the entryway, and I was planning on having the shelves be painted the same color as the walls....See Moremytwo cents
