Please help me decide!!!

Im planning on installing Coretec lvp. i cant deicde between Lucent oak, Calypso oak or Jerome oak. i have oak cabinets and trim throughout my home. its a little darker than honey oak. ill try a d post some pics of what it was showing the flooring looking like in my space on the coretec website. Please help! the photos havw letters on them for Calypso, Jerome or Lucent. Also im painting the walls a light gray color

What are your existing floors? What are your plans for the stairs? You really shouldn't install new floors without figuring out all the repercussions. Including to the existing floor.

Im replacing carpet with the coretec.

Light oak would't be my first choice. It does tend to look a bit country, but if you like it and think it'll work with what you have, you should do what you want. Since you're recovering the chairs, it might be just as cost effective to purchase new chairs in a wood tone that you prefer. I think the table size depends on your space. When I was single, I had a small table (30 x 50-It's now DH's desk.) in a small apartment. Most of the time it was pushed up against the wall with chairs at the ends and two chairs along the long side. It could be pulled away from the wall to accomodate six, but it was a tight fit! My current kitchen table is 34 x 55 but has leaves to make it longer. It's narrower than my last table (43.5 x 55 - a drop leaf that is now in the living room.) but suits us fine. I can fit dinner plates on the table without removing my large bowl centerpiece. I don't think I could fit everything if it was 32 inches. Maybe you could map out the dimensions of the new table onto the old table with painters tape to see if it works for the way you usually set the table.

I think the reason so many question the 48” is to find out the thought behind the decision. Not to be nosy or nasty, but to be able to give the best advice. For example, two weeks after we moved into our latest house, the range the previous previous owners left caught fire. As we were leaving in two days for a three week trip and planned to gut and remodel the kitchen the following year, if I had asked you all for a recommendation, you would have been able to give me advice specific to my immediate needs. And for the record, that $400 30” range we bought had only one flaw- the wires of oven racks were too far apart to prevent baked goods from falling onto the oven floor. The oven baked perfectly and the four burners were hot enough. However, the total remodel saw a 36” Thermador all gas replacing the $400 cheaply. The more exact information we have, the better and more accurate advice we can give.

No to artificial plants in the corner. Dust and insect collectors. The cats may bother them, too. Some cats will mark them. Place two of your chairs on each side of the curio cabinet and find some art work or sconces to frame the sides of the cabinet. Unless you are using the table, too many chairs will make it look crowded. Your curio cabinet is too small for the space, so putting the chairs on each side would help fill up the void. Move the lanterns to each side of the window. They would look better if you acquired a small stand to elevate them off the floor. Or, find another place for them in the house. Your flower arrangement is lovely. But, it is too tall for a dining table. You already have two tall lights on the buffet. Adding the floral arrangements would not work because they are tall, too. What you have on the buffet looks very nice. For additional lighting, you could add a small up light fixture that can't be seen on the curio cabinet. You can add a timer to it.

It would be on trend to add white for sure. I find it looks like someone could not make up their mind and it's in progress. I heard you on the clear glass but since the suggestion is all of them...perhaps you need to rethink clear as I doubt you want inside every cupboard viewed. A mix can work. The opaque glass saves you fussing with the inside of the cabinetry.

None of those look good with your stairs, trim, or the rest of the existing home.

Carpet over concrete slab, or over what? Industry standard is flatness of 3/16" in 10'. That often requires extensive prep.

What great looking stairs! Have you looked under the current carpet to see if there are hardwoods to match?

You need real wood. None of the fake plastic that doesn’t even coordinate with the stairs. Those stairs are a main feature. They are the boss.

Real wood is probably the best but i have three kids and a dog. I need flooring that wont be scratched all to pieces in a months

Good quality wood lasts for centuries, so unless you are doing basic training for a squad of marines on top of it, you ought to be able to get at lest 50 years out of it. Clip your dog's nails, and make the kids go outside in the yard.
