HELP arranging my bedroom! Should I put my bed in front of the window?
Comments (27)Hi everyone! Thank you so much again for your help and guidance. I thought I should pop in here for a quick update (I just hate when people post a question and never update their resolution!). It took almost 2 years but I'm finally at a good place with the bedroom decor. We ended up putting the bed up against the window because of symmetry and it also opened up a big space at the foot of the bed where we can play with our dog. We also ended up with a queen bed instead of a king. We don't mind the bed in front of the window at all. The bed has a wire headframe and barely blocks the light. We just need to hang some pictures or paintings and I think I can call the bedroom done! Thank you again for all of your wonderful suggestions and advice!...See MoreHelp me with some decisions as I refresh my bedroom.
Comments (2)Hello Enduring, Not sure if this is resolved, but for the last concern, that is actually the first one that catches my eye. I would definitely remove the current carpeting, and add a beautiful area rug to the space. It would help the space feel more modern, and warm....See MoreCan I convert my 3 bedroom house to a 4 bedroom house and is it worth
Comments (8)Check on an appraisers forum to see if there would be any difference in value. Unless you are getting cash for the sale or a large down payment from the buyer the appraisal will be the determining factor if you actually get more at the sale. If you do this change, do it for yourself and not for resale. If you do this change, make sure you don't make the current floorplan dysfunctional as that will take value away. If you are using the exact same square footage and not adding any, then it is doubtful that your home would add value but you would need to get twin sales in the area to see how much, if anything, is added to the value. It may open up the buyer pool and sell more quickly though. As the others mentioned consulting with a couple of Realtors in your area would help you get a handle on the current market....See MoreNeed some help with my bedroom layout/design!
Comments (3)First, you'll need to have a functioning closet/wardrobe so your clothes are not exposed. I would take a look at IKEA wardrobes and put them on the wall your desk is currently on. Something like these (the style of the units, not the layout of the room): By having drawers under the closet parts, you can then get rid of the dresser. Center your bed on the wall that currently has the dresser, then put your desk on one side and a nightstand on the other....See MoreCelery. Visualization, Rendering images
