Need advice on how to fill up space in living room
Comments (14)The basic layout Beverly posted is your best bet and you might be able to put a table behind sofa or a reading/feeding baby area you might need. TIP, get a good rug pad for your rug on your tile. It will eliminate telescoping of grout lines in rug and be more comfortable. I would also remove those drapes and unless you need privacy, which doesn’t look like it hence I wouldn’t add any drapes. Possibly solar shades if you need light control. A few strategically placed plants might be all you need....See MoreHow to fill a space in my pantry

Comments (5)Add texture with a metal drum side table. These examples are from Anthropologie. Or texture with wood and leather. A round table will help soften all the hard lines. Lovely space. If I can make a few small suggestions. Move rug so that it is under the front feet of the sofa 10-12". The coffee table doesn't appear to be centered on the sofa, but it could just be the photo angle. Move the small table inbetween the chairs to give them some space, while moving the chairs away from the sofa. These suggestions will allow all your pretty pieces to connect and breathe....See MoreHow best to fill the space above cabinets with decor?
Comments (30)"No one has mentioned so far that the dust that shows up above kitchen cabinets is GREASY dust. Super yucky, and hard to get off." Gas stoves are the worst for this...but my experience was it only appeared directly above the stove. For sure the type of hood/ventilation one has would make a huge difference. I just packed #1DDs kitchen for a move to a new home. The open shelving above the stove top was GROSS along with everything on it. No where else. My crystal, described earlier in this thread, was never greasy. Here in our 'forever' home I have a soffit that holds a set of God Bless America plates. They get cleaned once a year and the only ones with any grease are directly above the electric stove top, and it's not a big deal. Dawn soap is your friend!!...See MoreJ J
