Green speeds time? Blue for thinking? One crazy question!
Comments (1)When it comes to color, I didn't follow any studies, I just followed my gut ;) Yes, color has a tremendous impact on my mood. When I repainted the house, I used colors that evoked good feelings. Just made sure they all flowed well together, so it didn't look like a patchwork. For the most part, with the exception of one bath (which I'm going to repaint) it's worked out well. Blues are funny with me. Some blues I find soothing or stimulating, others leave me feeling cold and 'blue'. All studies aside, what does blue do for you, does it make you want to dive in a make things happen? ;D...See Moream I crazy to consider these exterior colors?
Comments (12)I took a stab at this, for what it's worth (use some imagination, please! ;D ). Apologies, white window frames didn't turn out well since this was a B&W sketch. I guessed at the roof, trying to get close to inspiration photo. Do you have a specific shingle color picked out? And I didn't know what you planned for garage door off to far left, so just filled in with red temporarily (can change that). Also, front door color left me puzzled. A muted mustard didn't look too bad, but for now pretend that's stained wood. ;D If you offer specifics on roof, etc. I can further tweak it. Working on taxes, will check in as I get a chance later. Comments (6)Thanks for all the feedback. My only drawback now is the darned underlying carpet! When picturing my room with buttery-yellow walls, a milk-chocolate couch and a nice soft area rug, I then see the neutral berber carpet that lies underneath and it just ruins it. Ugh. Unforuntately, taking up the carpet is not an option. I'm wondering if I should just go with my idea and see how it works OR try to design a room around the carpet (colors that come to mind are berry (carpet) and khaki (walls)....See MorePhotoshop Help Please - Painter Thinks We're Crazy
Comments (9)Spring: The reason your photos won't work in SW is because the resolution is way too small. With the first picture of the whole house, in order to mask the areas, you need more house & less surroundings in the photo, more like the second photo has. If the resolution were bigger, I could have cropped it down some but it's just too small. So I toyed with colors trying to match the stone. Thats a quartzite type stone and I can see you are trying to match the blue grays in it. I used several different colors some you'll like others not so much but a visual always helps, right? algonquin trail & north creek brown brunswick beige & french beret Chelsea gray & kendall charcoal Livingston Gold & Tyler Taupe Livingston Gold & Lennox Tan Springfield tan & texas leather Sussex Green & Nantucket Gray Tyler Taupe & shaker beige...See MoreChristina Clark
