Green speeds time? Blue for thinking? One crazy question!

Ok, here it is again... I must read too much!

I read in a decorating book that green rooms make time pass by more quickly. Blue stimulates thinking and focus. And I read a few years ago that yellow rooms make the fussiest babies. And also that yellow is exciting and raises energy and anticipation levels.

(I am sure your yellow nursery is beautiful and you have the best behaved baby in the world.)

I am planning on our halls to be a green (to make that long trudge up the stairs easier)... a bathroom used only at night and morning will be yellow- to be energized for your day and.... ah hem, night. But my laundry room will be blue.

Is this a problem? I am wasting a good brain power color in the laundry room? Will my stain-lifting prowess be elevated? Will I turn back into my normal, very average self when I finish the spin cycle?

Does anyone take these, "Scientific studies show..." seriously? If you have considered the psychology of color, does your house feel like a better fit?
