Hi Ya Measure twice, With your price range, you're firmly in the "used" market for a decent machine. Machines with a chipper blade and a drum of flails is the best bet. You can chip the branches until you're holding a handful of sticks, then toss them into the flail shredder. Here's some options - BCS BIO-100 chipper. This is my machine. It can be bought as a stand-alone machine with its own 8 horse engine or as an attachment for a walk-behind tractor. It is actually built by Caravaggi - an Italian company. I've seen a couple on eBay that went unsold with a starting bid of $600. They aren't as well known as some other brands but are the best on the market *wink at Kompressor*. You SHOULD pay over a grand even for a used one, but might be able to sneak one off eBay or Craigslist for under $500 Troy Bilt Super Tomahawk with 8 hp Briggs. The Troy Bilt's of the 80's and 90's are super machines. I had one before my BCS BIO100. Forget about today's machines. Parts are no longer available through MTD, so you need to have a little sense when it comes to shopping for parts. For example - scam artists sell the $12 bearings on eBay for $40 or $50. A good, used Super Tomahawk will set you back $200 to $600. MacKissic is a brand that has been highly lauded on here, but I have no experience with them. The look like a well built machine. Bearcat is another brand that is talked about alot on here and looks like a good machine. There are several other brands out there - Kemp, WW grinder, Lindig, Roto-Hoe. Advising others is iffy, in an internet forum. Perhaps the precise term needed goes missing, or a key concept is missed. There comes a point when it is better not to play plumber. I know enough to be aware of the limits of my knowledge for my own use. In a public forum I'll advance cautiously. Here we go. johnliu you are in California. There is nothing in there about a Group as large as the one you just described. Either your AHJ will consider it all still part of the Group, or not... My bet is yes, it's going to be do-able as a Group, for the reasons described in the other thread linked to in the OP about Groups. It can be done with one P trap. It can be done with two P traps. If you have two P traps or want two P traps, the connection point fitting to use is very very particular. If connected that way, then if a draining sink got stoppered, the water draining already in the DWV pipes would siphon the other sink's P trap out, break the seal and allow sewer gases into the house. I hope that explanation meets the post-posting pick-apart scrutiny test. If your Wye you wrote about was intended to go vertically, it's also a no-go. A Wye would make the trap arm do downhill at 45 degrees, and that is a 3/4 S-trap (a no go). The reason is that you want to ensure your trap arm always remains in the horizontal plane (with a minor slope) until it reaches the vented DWV pipe. Remaining horizontal allows the trap arm to self-vent. So, no to the Wye connection. An exception is with Venting between the Trap and the Wye, but nobody ever vents first and then "Wye-combines" as it's not efficient use of wall cavity space. In some situations it is a solution to add an AAV to vent the DWV of a kitchen P trap. Learn more and hire a plumber if you need two P traps connected in new plumbing. And take no action based on learning anything from any smart person on the internet. Plumbing requires thousands of hours of training and shaping the geometry of new drains is one of the hardest subjects. hth

Thanks, It really does help it to visualize- and there are so many things we don't think about- ie it never occurred to me to think about having to open two doors to get dinner plates! I have another question for you- why did you decide to add the shelves (in the first picture) as a separate entity instead of as a corner shelf unit? (I am waiting for my corner shelf unit to be built- and haven't given the carpenter my plans yet)AND, then how are those supports attached? Did you tile AROUND them or after them? AND, is that a corner shelf unit at the end of the second picture? Could you show another pic of that? I had posted a request for pics of corner shelves, but had received no response, so would love to see what it looks like. Again, hard to visualize, but so great to see it 'in person'.
