24-inch cabs: 2 doors or 1? Resolution...

Hi everyone,

Frequently when there's an agonizing decision discussed on this forum, someone will say, "Let us know how it comes out!" And I promised to do that when I was trying to decide between one door or two on my 24-inch wall cabinets last spring.

After going back and forth, I finally decided on two doors. Here are the pics:

I was concerned that the doors would look too tall and skinny, especially the glass doors, but they look good to my eye. I think it helps that the glass is plain -- no mullions or even a bevel (I like both of those things in larger doors, but think the skinny doors are better without).

As for function, I do have to open both doors to get out the large dinner plates, but it is something I do without even thinking, so that doesn't bother me. If I'd gone with one door, I think I'd have to lean back to let that big door swing open -- but I'm sure that, too, would become second nature and not bother me, either.

I hope this helps someone who may be making the same decision in the future!

Amy
