Comments (1)IMO you need to wait until the house is finished then do the decor . I have no idea what this will look like in the new house and IMO 12' ceilings are 2' too high . The dining set looks too big in the pics you post so IMO not going to be an issue it does to me look out of place in that space but if you love it you use it it is your home....See MoreDining room dilemma
Comments (21)You mentioned your dining room is the access to your kitchen so by using a table with chairs and a bench against the wall that leaves a walkway though the room. Since you say you use the peninsula every day, I show 2 comfortable stools with backs (instead of eliminating stools as you suggested). The wishbone chairs and stools are quite comfortable. With this floor plan, it leaves space for the cabinet with glass doors. All that is shown comes within budget.
