Where to start slope on curbless showers

mdod
last year

I have been working on redesigning my bathroom and adding a curbless shower. Everything says you have to slope the floor 1/4"/foot to the drain, but I can't find anything that says how far that slope has to extend.

I am thinking of putting a 3' x 4' shower in one corner with a 3' partition wall with a linear drain on one end and a tub on the opposite corner. But if you’re going to have zero entry, that slope can’t extend past the partition or there will be a drop-off. I know that waterproofing would be necessary beyond the partition, but can I start the slope at that partition as I have drawn below?

Also, does it make a difference if the shower head was on the partition wall (A) or the end wall (B)?
