How much would this bother you?

We’ve shopped at multiple stores trying to find matches, this is the closest we could get! Every door had a different tone, so frustrating. What can we do to get these to match? They’re brand new, super heavy and were a nightmare to install (husband said they’re staying put lol) is there a treatment of some kind I can put on one to get it to match? Or is it that big of a deal?

You did a good job matching the stains. Consider changing the door knob on all the interior single doors with an eye catcher knob. Doing that will give the single door its own character.

We actually bought all new doors and knobs (black), the new doors will be paneled like these. There will be more modern black pulls on these doors. Will that help?

I used SW Duration satin in my master bath (ceiling was already semi-gloss) and used SW Duration matte in the bedroom. I love the look, feel, and subtle shine of the matte in the bedroom (it is definitely more like an eggshell as others have described). I put the satin in the bathroom using the old rule of more sheen=better clean. But now knowing that high quality matte can in fact go in the bathroom, I feel like I should have just used the matte instead of the satin. As a side note, I used the same color in both bedroom and bath. Bath is large and open with good ventilation and a jacuzzi in the center and the shower is in it's own separate fully tiled room. So the question is: should i bother repainting the wall and ceiling with matte? Will it make much of a difference? I used painters so it would definitely cost to do this. Your advice?

I'm usually a symmetry freak but as others have said, you won't have that birds' eye view. What's it look like when you're standing there? I've had a 36" DCS cooktop for 7 years and I've generally been happy with it. One of the things that bugs me the most is having those big knobs on the side takes up too much space. If I have a 12" saute pan on the right front burner (my usual burner of choice), there isn't enough room to put a pan on the left front burner unless I put the handle of the saute pan toward the back which makes it awkward to reach, or having the handle hang over the front which is just plain dangerous. I think having the knobs in that position on a 30" would cause a similar issue. Put some pans on the floor model and see what you think. The other thing I don't like about my DCS is that the highest BTU burner is dead center both left to right and front to back. I'd rather have my highest BTU burner in the front where it's easiest to reach. Every time I put my wok on that center burner, I end up moving it back to the right front even though it doesn't have as many BTU's.

The burden is always on the attorney to ensure confidentiality- and that includes ensuring his or her spouse is not made aware of privileged information. A spouse is a third party (obviously) so would not be bound by attorney/client privilege and thus should not have any access to any confidential information a client shares with an attorney, nor to any confidential information an attorney shares with a client regarding the client's case. That said, the Supreme Court has ruled: Lawyer-client communications are confidential if they are made in a context where it would be reasonable to expect that they would remain confidential (Katz v. U.S., U.S. Sup. Ct. 1967) So, it becomes a question of whether the client calling an attorney at home would reasonably expect both sides of that phone call to be kept confidential.. If the attorney provides the number and tells clients to call, then this seems to be a situation where the client would reasonably expect confidentiality. However, if the attorney's wife answers the phone and it is apparent she is there, can the client reasonably expect confidentiality? As to the pharmacist, HIPAA is super, super strict. My DH just did his HIPAA compliance manual for the year and it's like 8 binders full of stuff he has to do to make sure medical records don't fall into the wrong hands. Limiting access to areas where patient records are kept is among the requirements.

What a darling, dysfunctional kitchen! Thank you funkycamper, that's exactly what I thought the first time I saw it, minus the dysfunctional though. The previous homeowners built the cabinetry, (not to mention the front door and many windows of the house) that just blows me away, so you can imagine I'm a bit of a fan of all you DIYers. I like the thought of the glass on the sides if we keep the uppers. Of course then I'd probable have to change out the ones by the sink... And the storage in the peninsula WOULD have to be counter height oldbat2be...Funny, I've never had a set up like the bar as it is now, and it really is the place to be, esp for DD and DS. I'm almost afraid to mess with that energy. I wonder if that is why I'm getting push back from everyone? zmith, sage advice! I just checked and the drawer in the corner would be impacted about 3", thank you!

That right bifold is throwing me off. My mom said it looks fine, my cousin said “please change it” (I asked for opinions) How much would it bother you?

It's WOOD subject to variations and grains. Looks great to me.

I looks wonderful! The beauty of real wood is the uniqueness in the graining. If you want every wood door to look the same, then paint is your answer.

Depending on the light source, the wood will change color over time and likely mellow out to be more even. I have brand new custom closet doors and one of the door's grain is much different than the other two. It kind of bugs me (or did at first) but I know as they age a bit (and as I age a bit) it's not going to be that big of a deal. It would bother me more in furniture.

Depending on the lighting, it seems to really vary in your photos. To be honest, I 'm not certain I would have thought about it if I wasn't looking for it. I can see in the first photo that it's somewhat different but I thought it was the shadowing or lighting.

I think I agree with those who say it's wood and it's fine.

Enjoy and now your husband can relax because it's done!

It would bother me. drive me nuts would see it every time i was in that room. But thats me and i notice and honestly obsess over chit like that. however normally no one else notices and i can say from experience you stop noticing after a while wood grains will mellow blend and change colors slighlty with time and exposure…… can you give it some time and see how you feel? only thing i can think of (and ive done it) is to wipe the lighter door with olde english polish/scratch finish in a darker color, maybe try walnut it looks really dark but as long as the doors have a sealant they wont absorb much of the oil

it may even the color out a bit
