Comments (2)@ken_adrian Adrian MI cold Z5 thank you for the warm welcome :):) heres the backside of the plant, I've placed it ~2 metres away from a window that gets afternoon sun (with a sheer curtain), with the leaves all facing the light direction... this is the front view! a real beauty. heres the plant at the seller's place, looks like a shaded nursery (not sure coz she delivered it to my house). but she said it was shipped to her from Japan (we live in Singapore), and she let it acclimate for a few weeks before sending it to me locally... it came to me bound with raffia string, was planning on giving it a few weeks to adjust before repotting with a pole in a slightly bigger pot + chunkier well draining mix of coir/ bark/ pumice/ charcoal/ worm castings. just hoping that leaf isnt a sign of root rot :(...See MoreMonstera Albo cutting in trouble...
Comments (8)Hope so too! I saw someone use a big clear storage tub for theirs as well. This is pretty common, however, this person did theirs upside-down. They put the lid on the floor/table whatever, then put the plant on the lid, then put the container over it so it's like a dome rather than having to put the plant down in something. You lift it off. If that makes sense. I think they also sell those really huge storage type ziploc bags at some dollar stores and walmart. My philo is just a tragedy now. It's in a green house (my friend has a nursery so he took it there for me). But it seems like it's just slowly dying. I tried everything to get it to root and it wouldn't root. It sat for 3 months in water, another month in leca, then I just freaked out and gave it to him. He planted it directly in soil. Most of the leaves are gone now. I think there is one left. And I really don't know if it will make it. I try not to think about it. But you understand, it is still bothering me!...See MoreDave in NoVA • N. Virginia • zone 7A
