Quartzite in an Outdoor Kitchen?

Hello Houzz Community! I am building an uncovered outdoor kitchen, which will receive full sun in the afternoon. I live in Maryland, where we have the full range of seasons. I have fallen in love with White Lux Quartzite, and have done the etch test (no etching) and the glass test (scratched glass). It also did not seem very porous in the water test. However, I am still not able to find good information about using Quartzite outside. Does anyone have a quartzite on an outdoor kitchen, and have any feedback? Or any thoughts about White Lux specifically? Any thoughts about whether it is a crystalline quartzite? I have looked at granite, but I have been unable to find a white stone with beige tones (not grey) and a lot of movement (like a beige Thunder White). Thank you!
