Outdoor Wok & outdoor kitchen?
Comments (11)johnliu, I am trusting my GC on the ventilation issue. Since it is under a covered roof, code & sense requires it be vented. I have been so obsessively focused on the indoor stuff, that this has been on the back burner. I need to clarify with him about what this ventilation will look like. I trust his integrity and knowledge, but I hadn't thought about how it would look exactly. Good question! Upon further thought on this whole space, I think all I really need out there is the grill and the sink. Maybe a stainless steel cabinet under the sink, a set of drawers for grilling equipment and kebob sticks, and a cabinet for trash. I think most of the designers are talking about a true "outdoor" kitchen, which I don't need. I just need an outdoor grilling area with counter space. We are big homebodies and have small get togethers with friends and family, so I don't need all that extra stuff for my lifestyle. Thanks for the extra gas stub idea. I think that's an ideal solution!...See MoreOutdoor kitchen
Comments (7)What climate are you living in? I am further north and I love having a covered kitchen area so that when it is raining I can still grill outside. Some stones don’t hold up to the freeze thaw cycle so that should be an issue to discuss with your fabricator. One way to reduce cost of stone is to go with remnant stone or the left overs from other projects. Another option is to use sealed concrete counters or to go with a teak or ipe counter. My outdoor kitchen is near my kitchen. I think if you want more ideas you need to post a photo of the proposed space in relation to your house....See Moreusing outdoor kitchen cabinets indoors
Comments (3)i do not see any reason not to if it fits what you want and like. I just went through the same thing with an outdoor sconce used inside. no problem, you just can't go the other way and put something outside when it only belongs in....See MoreADVICE NEEDED- Outdoor fireplace/Kitchen finishes help wanted
