10 Outdoor Kitchens to Flip Over
Whether you're flipping burgers on Memorial Day or kicking back while someone else cooks, these kitchens hit the spot

Memorial Day is about honoring the lives of men and women who died serving and protecting our country. Many homeowners will raise a glass and celebrate the holiday — the unofficial start of summer — around a tablescape of Americana decor, chilled watermelon, cold beer and a homemade dessert. No matter how you choose to celebrate Memorial Day, let's enjoy the spirit of freedom and the start of warmer days with ideas from these inspiring outdoor kitchens.
Don't we all want to dine al fresco in this homeowner's wood- and stone-clad backyard? The built-in grill is close to the dining table, making it the ideal setup for a small number of guests; the one manning the grill will always feel part of the group.
Everything about this rooftop shouts summer. From the lounge chairs that face breathtaking city views, to the sunny chartreuse color of the planters and cabinets to the minifridge and grill pair — this is the spot to sip a cold beer while the host flips burgers.
This barside grill's backdrop is simply stunning, making it the perfect place to enjoy the breathtaking California sunset and a glass of chilled chardonnay.
My favorite part of the summer barbecue is the transition from dusk to nighttime, right when the temperature cools and beers are replaced with steaming mugs of hot cocoa or coffee. This contemporary outdoor space lets guests make the easy shift from outdoor dining chairs to more comfortable all-weather armchairs around the fire pit, which can only mean one thing: It's time to roast s'mores.
Here's a more traditional version of a space that lets guests transition from the dining table to a more casual seating arrangement. This enclosed porch houses an outdoor kitchen that's ideal for homes that get extremely hot summer weather. Roof coverage, ventilation and plenty of ceiling fans ensure a cool space during the day.

It's hard to get the modern rustic look right, but this covered outdoor kitchen hits the mark perfectly. Citrine banquettes, beam ceilings and wood used throughout the decor provides contrast to the stainless steel kitchen appliances. Sliding glass doors to the right show the outdoor kitchen's proximity to the indoor living space, making it a great place for postdinner sitting and mingling.
The pièce de résistance of this outdoor kitchen is the wood-burning oven, which means pizza and freshly baked bread could be on this homeowner's Memorial Day menu. Another draw is the kitchen's gorgeous backdrop — Oregon's verdant surroundings.
This outdoor kitchen has a cast-in-place concrete countertop, which continues the overall modern and industrial feel of this home in Aptos, California.
There is much to love about this outdoor kitchen area, which resembles a hotel bar and pool lounge. Equipped with a pizza oven, a swim-up pool bar, a mounted patio heater, ceiling fans, and a full kitchen and grill (not pictured), this outdoor kitchen is just plain dreamy.

Although this stone and stucco built-in grill is part of a more grand European-California home, the midcentury modern Tolix chairs with two cold beer bottles on the round table give off an air of simplicity — and summer.

A fabulous outdoor kitchen celebrates the lifestyle of the owners. These are surely great illustrations of fabulous outdoor kitchens and outdoor living spaces.
I like the idea of having an outdoor kitchen. My favorite one has to be the one that's right up against the pool. A swim-up pool bar would be wonderful to have. http://www.kitchenwise.com.au/contact
This is my first NatureKast outdoor kitchen. There's not a whole lot of difference between designing and installing an indoor kitchen versus an outdoor kitchen, except for having to use stainless steel fasteners and more counter top overhang to shed water properly. These NatureKast cabinets give you all the storage and many of the convenience features you'd want in an indoor kitchen, but they are completely weatherproof. The boxes are PVC, the hardware is stainless steel, and all the wood-look components are high-density resin. I really enjoyed doing this project, and I think the result knocks your socks off!
