Comments (4)It's a run-to-waste drip system, right? What's the grow media inside the buckets? Whether or not to use a timer depends upon how much moisture you hold in the media and how long it lasts. I would think the benefit to the timer would be saving money on nutrient costs. The old nutrients are probably ok if they will still dissolve in water. You can get by without a TDS meter, but it takes practice with the particular nutrients that you use. Powdered nutes tend to be cheaper due to lower shipping weight and costs. I use liquid nutes from General Hydroponics, and by now I am able to estimate the TDS of a solution by looking at it. 2 months agolast modified: 2 months agoMy suggestion is to bring more contrats into the room. Here are my suggestions with keeping your leather sofa, white armchair, coffee table, chair side tables (round ones). A vintage rug with a lighter background (shown is a Ruggable, goes to washer/dryer), 2 black armchairs (to replace the gray ones), a rattan ottoman, a console table behind the sofa with lamps (you can run extensions under the rug), a reading lamp next to white chair, and side drapes with black rods on the windows for more warmth to the room with texture. I've added a level of lighting with lamps. Then complete with accent pillows and more colourful art on the walls that coordinate with your colour scheme such as illustrated below.
I also suggest a more substantial black pendant over your dining table.
