I would paint the vanity white. How much of the dark red/wine coloured edging (above the tile) is in the room?That might influence my decision. If you go white, I would get rid of the brown and pick another accent colour.

I’d lean into the blush. It’s very on trend! Paint the walls in the same blush, and probably the vanity too. I don’t think chalk paint is the answer for the tile. If you can, remove the top trim piece and cap it with wood molding in the same blush.

I would get a bold patterned wallpaper that embraces the blush tiles (and maybe embrace the vanity color so that you don’t have to repaint). I don’t think your mirrors or light works in the space. You need more of a mid-century style to go with those tiles. Can your return them? And once you decide on mirrors and a light, get pulls for your vanity that match that metal and a rug that coordinates with the wallpaper.

You can embrace the blush but for me that would result in quite a feminine look so I brought in some black & white. The dark pink border tiles can be painted white.

With my experience with chalk paint I don't recommend you do the tiles nor countertop with that paint, it will get damaged. You need to either wax over the paint or paint a matte varnish (that's the best option of the 2) over chalk paint.

I would look into replacing the countertop with something like a polymarble or even a white melamine if it's simply a quick fix for a couple of years. You can then replace the faucets for black ones. I also suggest you hang your mirrors on the wall and paint the frames black. I show a black & white palm motif wallpaper (several motifs available at good prices on Amazon in regular wallpaper or peel & stick).

Pick a large area rug to fit your room, I show a black & white one from Ruggable (goes in washer/dryer).

The pink tile and the taupe you chose for the vanity are the same tone, so they really fall flat against each other. I think you need something with more contrast. You could go white on the walls and vanity, but a dark color on the vanity could give the room an anchor for that tile.

I love your mirrors, but the light fixture seems a totally different style. And color.

Some ideas:

• Get a good mask and paint the maroon tile trim blush pink to match the tile (or get someone else in your household to do it. Just doing the trim won't be a massive job.). Don't use chalk paint. It will just come off and irritate you.
• Paint the vanity a dark blue
• Spray paint the light fixture gold or brass or get a new one (honestly, I think it's too wide, but if you're stuck with it, paint will help)
• Put gold or brass knobs on the vanity to match the light fixture.
• Hang the cute rattan shelf/towel holder lower (so the hand towel is just about an inch above the tile) and get some pretty matching jars to store stuff there, add a little plant. I get needing practical storage but your eye goes right to that spot. Hang some art above it.
• Swap out the other towel bars and rings, faucets, etc. to either black (to match the metal on the rattan shelf) or gold/brass
• Put some art to the left of the window and in between the mirrors.
• Get some dark blue towels to match the vanity.

Thank you! I agree that a dark color on the vanity will help, I was wondering about a dark green though? Something like this regal leaf color. Painting the dark tile sounds like a good, easier idea! I know that light does looks a little off but we JUST had it installed the box is gone and I’m not sure if I could return it. 🤦🏼‍♀️ I’ll try to spray paint. Thanks for your tips!

So you're looking for a couple bandaids to tide you over for the moment? First, I'd say don't spend too much on things that're temporary.

Random thoughts:

- I do like dark blue vanities, and the dark tone would work well in this large space. Green is good too, though blue would be my personal taste. I would not go white ... it would seem too close /accidentally mismatched with the tan-with-pink-undertones tile.

- The mirrors you have propped up seem smallish for this vanity.

- The centered light looks wrong with two small mirrors.

- Clutter on the vanity is a problem ... gather some of these products up in a basket or tray, and they'll look more intentional. And use those drawers!

- I'd add hardware to the drawers.

- No particular color stands out in this bathroom ... it's just kinda void of color. Pick something and run with it: towels, bath mats, etc.

- Finish with a pretty, woven basket in place of the plastic laundry basket, and add a bit of greenery or flowers. These organics are needed in any room.
