I do like the peach with the green. I was thinking lavender but peach wouldn't give me quite such an unhealthy glow. I hadn't really thought about more tile but of course, a DIFFERENT tile would be just fine. Now, however, the spouse has voiced a strong aversion to tile in the tub. I never should have mentioned solid surface. (We have grout issues.) We could certainly do decorative tile around and over and underfoot though.

But the pink bathroom. I went back with some color samples and it's really barely pink. It's brown, with light pinky brown. And even lighter, pinkier sink, tub, and toilet. NOTHING I brought in looks good with it. Would a nice clear white work?

Have you looked at Kohler Innocent Blush? It almost looks white, but it might not be so jarring in Either bath as pure white would be.

Black might also work well with the mint, although I would never recommend a black tub or sink.

I also think these might be good bathrooms for wallpaper, because you can usually find something that will bridge several difficult colors together.

As to the pinky-beige...I painted my beige bathroom wythe blue and then did glaze over-top that...I think I used one of the DeVine blues as a pigment. (It has been years--so I cannot remember which one.)

I was going for a sort of sand-and-sea look. If I were doing it again I would forgo the wash. You might get hold of a paint fan or three and see if any of the blues take you. If I were to repaint that bathroom I would look at the Ben Moore Affinity fan. It seems to play well with MCM tile colors. In the blue range I'd look at Instinct (AF575), Serenata (AF535) and Constellation (AF 540). It's hard to match things to a monitor...but those might work. For the mint green bathroom, try Boudoir (AF190)(might be too fleshy) or, for a complete change of pace, either Tranquility (AF 490) or Crystaline (AF 485).
My master has a mosaic mix that had some green in it, though none the color of what you've got. We used Crystaline in the master:

It MIGHT play well with your green tile. It's hard to say from a monitor!

I think chocolate brown would look fab with the green. Love that shade of green.

Are you in California? In Pasadena, there is an architectural salvage place that's a spinoff from Pasadena Arch Salvage. Arch. Detail has the bathroom stuff. As their website says, they don't post what they have for sale, but to contact them. There are loads of used bathtubs in Pasadena (I've seen them with my very eyes!) I'd try for a green tub first. Yes, I know you are in a hurry, but for this, I'd persevere - to me, a green tub would be perfection in that bathroom.

I grew up with the very same pinky/brown tiled bathroom. I'd strip the paint off the vanity and stain it. We had wallpaper in our bathroom that incorporated both colors and it was really good. The current owners of our old house have continued with wallpaper.

You really need to check out the "save the pink bathrooms" site and post your pictures/questions there. LOTS of helpful people who will have suggestions on where to buy stuff. The other thing to look for your bath where the green tile was decimated...

I'm pretty certain Daltile still makes a lot of the colors that they made "back in the day." You might not get an exact match, but if you could find a mosaic with some of that green in it, perhaps you could keep your counters and replace the floor and shower surround with a sympathetic mosaic. I'm pretty certain one can even come up with a custom mix...but the "forest green" mix MIGHT work.

Thanks y'all! I appreciate all the color suggestions. After the pink bathroom web site I pretty much realized I need wallpaper for the pink one. Maybe not NEED but I think it might be a good option. (Then I got all distracted on whether grass cloth would be a good option for the walls in the living room that are painted paneling and yes it would except it would get destroyed within a week of exposure to my family...I need to focus!)

I'd love to get the cabinets back to the original birch stuff but I think they're probably too far gone. I'm even considering painting the remaining woodwork throughout the house. It has become a yucky color and is pretty banged up. But I hate to do that...focus focus

I guess the master bath is a different problem from the pink one. It needs to be half gutted. On the bright side, almost everything I like will go with the green because it's one of those obnoxious shades I like. The pink bath is in great shape but the colors are very hard for me to like. I need all the help I can get!

I have three bathrooms built just before yours were put in. One of them is the "pink" you have but I think it is really it's more of beige/tan. The previous owners (who installed the baths) put in wallpaper, twice, not bothering to remove layers so I can see what they used. Both layers have some dark browns and various shades of green with a lot of pop of aqua/turquoise. I think the combo works well and it helps turn the pink cast into a brown cast in the fixtures. The cabinets and trim are that lighter amber, natural finish. I think the retro renovation site recommends strong, jewel tones to contrast some of the fixture colors from the era - I know it has really helped me work with my yellow bathroom.

Not budget friendly exactly but may be worth allowing you to work with what you have.

I'm thinking of perhaps some glass block for the shower--it would fit in with the house and I LIKE it.

The brown/pink bathroom, I'm really thinking wallpaper is the way to go. Since my kids will be using the bath, I need vinyl paper. Maybe something with a black/dark background and loud bright tropical theme? I do not love the pinktan so if I can neutralize it I'd be happier. Being a kid's bathroom, scrubbable parrots, monkeys, and leaves won't be out of place. Or will they?

You must be in my neighborhood! Seriously, your baths are SO similar to ours in our 1964 house. Here's what we have done:
Master bath--was Pepto Bismol pink. We had it reglazed in white and it's holding up well. We had the tiny tile floor ripped up and redone.

Upstairs hall bath--was baby boy blue. DH tackled this one (very unusual!) by ripping out the floor and taking down the tile. He installed white beadboard and a new floor. The tub is the same exact style you have, which really is a high quality cast-iron tub. I hate the cliche that they "don't make things like they used to", but in this case, I really think it's true. This tub holds the heat like no other. It's worth saving, either as is, or having it professionally reglazed.

First floor half-bath--DH painted the tiles with a latex paint in a beige and we then had the floor redone by a professional.

We added another full bath in the basement area and used a one-unit tub/wall combo (not nearly as good at holding heat as the cast iron tub upstairs). We did tile on the walls and floors.

Check out professional tile reglazing in your Yellow Pages. It will tide you over until you can tackle a reno.

My advise is this: keep the cast iron tubs, but change out the faucets to a "mixer valve", which is fairly inexpensive.

Good luck. I did all I could do to live w/ the pink and blue. No matter what I did it screamed "60's"!
