Multifocal contact advice

last modified: 3 years ago

I wore contacts for years and years. When I needed to switch to progressive lenses a couple of years ago I gave up and just went to eyeglasses again. I really missed wearing contacts. I went to get multifocal contacts (told them that up front), and got one multifocal for my left eye and the one for my right eye ended up being toric (which I have never needed), that is distance only. I don't know another way to say it, but the multifocal left lens feels like it interferes with my vision, rather than helps? My right lens doesn't see anything close up. I'm going back February 18th, but what should I push for? I didn't tell him I was poor, or that I was worried about anything???, but he said trying to avoid expensive lenses was the reason he took this route. Should they both be toric multifocal? Would the right toric being multifocal be enough? I just know I'm unhappy with the way it's working. Experience that you have had would be greatly appreciated!
