Cuisinart has a bad spout also on it latest models. It is very small, narrow and shallow. You can't pour more than a trickle without it slopping over the rim. I have a 14 cup pot and it gets a bit heavy holding it and pouring that slowly. Yes, it slops over when filling the reservoir and I have to dry the brew basket area off with a towel. I am also not fond of their one piece snap on lid which is tricky to line up correctly before snapping it down.

We have the more basic non-programmable model but I suspect they aren't making it anymore. I might suspect that's why your seller got rid of it. The one we have is OK, no complaints about the carafe.

That looks like my Cuisinart other than the open area at the lip is much smaller. I now hold my cup over the sink for the first cup or two because it always ended up on the counter. I have had mine for a couple of years and find that there is a build up of crud at the area where the plastic is joined to the glass. I hand clean mine although it can be washed in the dishwasher after seeing the problems a friend had when theirs fell apart in the dishwasher from an unknown crack.

I abhor Black and Decker. In my silent speak they are Black and F’er.

You have to be really awful to meet their standards for ”design,” function and longevity.

Sure, square pour spout. Makes every bit of sense — like rubber knives.

Most drip coffee makers do not get the water at optimum temperature for drip coffee.

Jasdip, we use a simple pour over with a paper filter. It doesn’t take long at all. Melita has a simple one that is very inexpensive — perhaps $15 to $20. I prefer the paper filters because I want to avoid all sediment. The filters are not expensive.

We just put the fresh coffee grounds into the filter supported by the cone, the pour water 190 deg F to ?205 deg F (“off the boil”) slowly over the grounds. We can keep the carafe warm while coffee if going through on the ”warmer” burner of the stove. But as we like fresh brewed coffee, we seldom bother and just pour the finished coffee into pre-heated 16 oz mugs. If the kitchen is cool, we can just wrap the small carafe in a dishtowel. The coffee is so delicious. You deserve grrat tasting cofee. ☕️

Bodum makes a nice small por over as well. We have this but I prefer the paper filters. (I compost them!)

You can also have the fresh brew go directly into a pre-warmed thermal carafe. This will give yoy a delayed 2nd cup that tastes better than any coffee trying to stay warm on a coffee maker hotplate.

I have the one cup Melitta coffee maker, I got them at garage sales for $1 each. They are nice to have if you want a quick cup of coffee, I don't use them regularly though. They do make good coffee though! I actually have had good luck with Black & Decker stuff though. We have been using B and D coffee makers for years. They will last us several years with daily use.
