It's funny that often faux products are more popular than originals.

Nothing breaks my heart, more than...........
Comments (33)I thought I was the only person in the world that felt this way about all these god %#*@(% subdivisions popping up all over what used to be the most beautiful pieces of farm land. Everytime I see another piece of land being cleared for a housing development, or a strip mall, I literally get sick to my stomach and feel another small piece of me die. I feel a little better to know that I'm not alone in my feelings. I must also say that it sickens me to see these city slickers moving out to the country, buying up several acres, putting up a gargantuan house, cutting down all the existing plants to create a huge fake looking landscape, and then never actually getting outside to enjoy the country. And when they do go outside, they gripe at the slightest smell of farm. I completely agree with the other's comments in this forum that city folk are such frail lil flowers, and so on. They hit it dead on. how pathetic. I currently live in a subdivision which is only a few years old. (we won the house in a contest, otherwise we would never have moved there.) We've been there for 4 months and i still don't feel like I'm "home". I will never feel at home in this place. I felt more at home in the apartment we had before this house. The neighborhood feels so "sterile". There are no trees more than 4 feet tall, and all of the houses and landscaping is so cookie cutter I could puke! Fortunately, this was a free house, and my fiance and I are going to use it as a financial springboard to get the money we need to move into the country where we will not try to change the land to fit us, but instead we will thoroughly enjoy the sounds of the tractors, the smell of manure, the lush foliage, the serene quiet and everything else that comes with being "home". I wish I had a magic wand that I could use to get rid of all the strip malls, the subdivisions, and the frail lil flowers coming from the urban areas to pollute our beloved countrysides....if only....See MoreMore importantly than the POTUS is the First Lady
Comments (97)It's not a matter of accepting it. Both candidates carried the same or worse baggage. Hillary was complicit in what her husband did and he was coming back to the White House for another round. BC had serial affairs and was accused of rape for many years. These same women showed up time after time and had similar stories. The women showing up to accuse Trump weren't consistent and weren't particularly believable. Even Trumps' former wives appeared to back him. If anyone should hate Trump, Ivana should, but she didn't. All of the candidates had some baggage. At some point, you say these are our two choices. You cross off what you can from the list and go forward with the one who speaks to your interests. Hopefully, they get to accomplish a few items from the list while in office....See MoreSpecialist vet visit cost more than my first car
Comments (49)There have been quite a few studies done showing that certain breeds are sensitive to ivermectin which is used in heartworm meds. Ivermectin toxicity affect certain breeds that may carry a genetic mutation. They were starting to see this first in collies and later other herding breeds, the Aussie is included in those susceptible breeds. I remember discussing this with my vet when we had a Sheltie/Aussie mix. Apparently they have a test for the genetic mutation these days. I live in an area where heartworm is simply not a problem. My dog is not on heartworm meds at all. I have discussed this with my vet and he sees no reason for me to put her on it unless we plan to take her to areas where it is a greater risk. Then I would be happy to have her tested and put on medication for the time period necessary. I have no fleas either but if she is out in parks and places where she meets others dogs I do use a dose of Frontline at the start of flea season. No reason to do flea treat in the dead of winter. A lot of things are pushed on clients by vets for one simple reason. They know people get lax in the care of their animals. If they say recommend something for the season the client may forget next year so it's easier to put the dogs on heart worm year round. Of course this doesn't apply to people who travel a lot with their dogs or live in mosquito zones year round. By advocating for yearly vaccines they know they will at least see the dog once a year since people bring them in for annual health check ups or worse wait until they are extremely ill. What can you tell me about it?
Comments (44)Thank you for all the comments, I still love hearing from everyone and their opinions. I still am changing my mind everyday about that sink, it’s very useful... as far as everyones comments of it not being big enough (how big are your sinks?!... haha) btw the middle sink isn’t for washing, it is food disposal :) I use the left sink for washing and the right sink for rinsing. I do have some good news I just discovered 10 minutes ago (seriously)...it looks like the upper cabinets are original! Which makes me so happy because they are my favorite! Woohoo,... the doors are newer, I’m guessing to match the newer bottom cabinets. How easy is is it to move the dishwasher over to make room for this sink/or future vintage sink? It bothers me that it’s off center. And since the bottoms aren’t original so I don't mind moving things around. Thank you again to everyone so far !...See MorePaul F.
