Design Dilemma home gym

help in my basement!

Help! i redid my basement and need help with placement i have a treadmill a bike a bench and a barbell i wanted to make a gym area and put a rubber mat down for those things then i have a sectional and a tv that will double as a gaming area too for my kids. I was thinking about putting another tv in that area also in case my kids have a friend over and they want to play too. and finally id like a desk area the one smaller cutout area i thought would be good foe the gym but it may be too cramped any ideas?

In order to get good suggestions you should draw a floorplan, preferably on graph paper so the commenters can tell what the dimensions of the space are. How much space do you want for your exercise equipment?

Oh sorry I'm new here. The whole space is 750sq ft. I only have a few small things for the gym area.

A traditional sump pump isnt' going to work in this application because the water won't reach a level [hopefully] that will trigger the float switch. Any number of companies make utility pumps that will pump down to a 1/4" or so but you'd have to come up with some way to turn it on. There may be some manufactured device for this, I don't know because I haven't looked. Or you would need to use a moisture sensor to trigger a relay. The more important question is why this water is coming in your home. You should fix that problem first. The pump should be a backup in case things go horribly wrong, not the primary solution to the problem.

Family of 6 here. I have a rolling sorter (I don't use the rolling feature) with a bar overhead for hanging clothes. This bar has been so useful for me! I also have a collapsable drying rack with 3 levels for things that don't go in the dryer. I have a 12 X 6 laundry room that my husband and I have re-done to make it user friendly and clutter free. I store my ironing equipment on one of the walls, and my steamer in the small closet with the brooms and recycling. I fold laundry from the top of the dryer and put it in piles on the countertop where each child knows to come and grab their clothes. I enjoyed the process of making this little room so functional. you did not say if you wanted to keep those pillows so i disposed of since you said you did not like purple. ok on to greens, you did not say light or dark. don't have much dark anyway. sets first dark with the pink you like with bunnies lime with blue ican fill the sets out.often we can adjust them too.

The water has to go somewhere, so no matter what you put in the hole, it’s going to come back out. Can you take a photo from further back so the whole area is visible? Are the larger rocks small enough to move to work on the area? How big is it? Without seeing it, I’m wondering if you can make a “stream bed” with large, medium and small sized rocks to minimize erosion and dig a dry well at the bottom to take the resulting water. Or a drain to divert it elsewhere. Otherwise, I’d consult a professional who can see the site in person for advice.

No one can provide useful suggestions without the measurements of the space and the equipment/furniture. Why not just move stuff around and see what works?

When you provide that floorplan for the whole basement, note electrical locations too, and the treadmill probably needs to be on a 20amp circuit (or a 15amp that is not loaded), and if you want a tv how far from one or if you can add a receptacle up high. Note size needed for the rubber mat area for free weights if you also do stretching/yoga. Walls available for mirror. Soffits that you might hit your head on the cycle/inclining treadmill.

In the area where you'll have the couch and tv, ceiling lighting is not optimal. Much better will be a table lamp or wall sconce in each corner at chest height. If not done already, you may want to get an electrician to put the different basement zones on different ceiling light switches.
