Comments (15)Kevin, I am not that good, just my luck. I do not know how the pH level down to 5.0, it is stable. I have been trying to find out, if I found I will post here. Still now I do not know much about fertilization and insecticide/pesticide, I cannot stand to see when my plants were infested with bugs/disease and nutrient deficiency. Still I have to learn a lot from all of you. Thank you for your questions. Tsheets, always I love to take nice pictures, before digital camera I was so embarrass to see the pictures I took :-). Thank you for the opinion. BryanaRock, it is very nice to see your profile, I am also one of the hot pepper freaks. My plan was to grow only the chilies but now I would like to grow whatever I can. When I met my friends they asked me about my chili plants, they knew I am addicted on container gardening :-) thank you for the nice words. Caelian...See MoreRecipe for hot chocolate
Comments (22)I worked out this recipe after trying Jacques Torres 'Wicked Hot Chocolate'(which was wickedly good but wickedly expensive to mail order). Wicked Hot Chocolate About a cup or a little more milk Two squares Ghiradelli 100% cacao about 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes dash cayenne about 1/4 tsp cinnamon 1/2 tsp vanilla (added after heating rest of ingredients) barely heaping to heaping tsp honey This may sound very weird, but it's dark, slightly bitter, strong and with a little afterbite of the pepper. And it's absolutely delicious. Use whole milk and maybe even add a little cream....See MoreLeftover holiday chocolate challenge
Comments (13)About good recipes--my mothers holiday cookies have turned less and less and into nothingness by cutting out all things cookie. They have no flavor. She cuts out most of the butter and almost all the sugars and cuts chocolate chips etc. and she does not cook them long enough. I don't see the point. Maybe add rosemary and a bit of parmesan so they are maybe a cracker. No one eats them but her. We do tell her. She considers them healthier. : ) Her chex party mix is really just mixed cereal out of the box. With pretzels and a few peanuts. Again not toasted at all. An extreme opposite is my neighbor. She makes the most divine chocolate truffles. Every holiday throughout the year a small box of six is hanging on our door knob. Usually six new flavors she is trying. Always amazing....See MoreHot Chocolate Bar in the off season
Comments (5)loonlakelaborcamp, that is an idea I hadn't considered! unfortunately, I hadn't considered it because we don't drink, and neither do probably 70% of our guests. No wonder I'm digging this hot chocolate bar so much--it is obviously filling a need for us in the drinking department XD...See Morel pinkmountain
