I prefer shower curtains to shower doors! I like polyester shower curtains; there is no cling. They are easy to launder. I use plain colored ones and hang a decorative shower curtain over the polyester.

Adding: you need to buy double shower curtain rings to hang two curtains and have a sturdy pole. We just remodeled our MBR and, again, went with a shower curtain. We're able to add a door if needed for sale- ha!

Why are two curtains necessary? The person using this shower is a senior so keeping it simple AND safe is important.

Heavy duty plastic shower curtains will not stick to you. It is the thin cheep ones that have that problem. I use them at camp so we get more light in the tub . I do use the polyester ones at home. I also love curved shower rods.

Mine are nylon, waterproof, and look/feel like crisp cotton. Hot water wash, dryer for 6-7 minutes then rehung when warm. No wrinkles, fresh and clean. No liner - and the curtain has never reached out and grabbed or stuck to me ;)

You don't need special rings or two sets of rings (is that what you mean by double shower curtain rings?) to hang 2 curtains. Just put them both on the same ring.

Sorry for the confusion! You absolutely do NOT need two curtains; the outer one is purely decorative. One is plenty. I think it's much easier to have a double curtain ring if you're going to hang two curtains. cpartist was correct earlier, and I'm just getting back to this now; I should have been more clear earlier?

My heavy vinyl shower curtain is from the Hammacher Schlemmer catalog. It has a see-through 21 inches at the top and a white bottom. Resists mold and mildew and is heavy duty. Far too heavy to cling! Here
