Please help me with this purchase

I just picked up a meat order from an online (local) "Farmer's Market." I don't know why I thought this order would be any better than other meat I've tried (various producers), but how badly can you screw up a pork roast, mid leg cut from the ham? Well. It's not a roast. It's a huge slab of meat about 2 inches thick by maybe 10-12 inches across, a 2 inch thick cut from a huge pork leg.. I have no idea how I can roast it properly since it's all surface with no depth to speak of and it will be impossible to carve properly since against the grain would mean carving along that huge surface; cutting at the sides would be with the grain.

I had hoped to roast it for Thanksgiving (just me and I'm not really crazy about turkey), so I will get a real roast from somewhere else. But what on earth can I do with this huge slab or fresh pork?
