GTA East Fall Garden Tailgater
Comments (44)Thanks again CherylnPickering for pulling together this swap, which went without a hitch - great fall location - really easy to find - once I escaped the clutches of Scarborough that is (didn't know Finch turned into Morningside south- gotta learn how to drive on the 401 again, or else invest in a map that someone between 6 and 8 years old can decipher.) Although we never get as big a turn out in the fall as we do in the spring; we certainly never have any shortage of loot coming to and from our trunks; and it is a treat to spend a little time with you all again. It was great seeing all the familiar faces; and hope we've made repeat tailgaters from our new friends for next spring. Sorry I didn't have much time to stay and chat but with two non-gardeners anxious to get on with their day, I knew I needed to make a quick escape. Hope the clean up of the remnants wasn't too much trouble. I'll post a picture of all your rock donations once I get them all pushed, pulled and shoved up a slope into my new rock garden. I am so blessed to have met up with you all again. Stay healthy - stay in touch over here on the conversation side of the boards when you get a chance, to let us know how your fall and winter gardening adventures are going. No doubt I'll start potting up more plants tomorrow (which will get sunk into the ground for the winter) to get a jump start on my 'have to share' list for the spring swap....See MoreHAVE: Austin/San Antonio Fall Swap - Oct 27
Comments (75)Ron and I had a wonderful time. He commented that I might actually have come home with less than I took, which is exceptional!! Thank you Charlotte for a great get together. It was wonderful seeing everyone and I am very pleased with all the plants I have acquired. Bob, thank you for answering my plant identification questions. I can't wait til spring! I also think there was a nice diversity in the plants. Ally & Lindsey - I will be digging purple iris' this weekend and promise to get them in the mail by monday. Lindsay you should be getting mail today, it's the seeds you wanted. It was wonderful meeting new swappers as well as seeing people from the last swap. Thank you to everyone who came and hopefully we will see you all in the spring! Jani & Ron San Marcos & Round Rock...See MoreFOTESS: MARCH 2022 - Spring Clean Up and Green Up
Comments (122)I was outside planting seeds and checked mailbox before coming in. Wow it must be Christmas. Look what Susan sent. I love all of it. I've never grown Acidanthera before, but will definitely get these planted tomorrow. I love black eyed susan vine but it never makes seeds for me so I don't usually have any. And all the other stuff will really come in handy with my planting. Thank you so much....See MorePlease post your Sept. 2022 arrangements
Comments (93)Magpie - oh, it sounds wonderful!!! :) :) Maybe I'll try it again. Mine died the same year I got it...that was the rose year from hell. LOL Librarian - I'm getting a chuckle out of reading the mess that Houzz makes of your typing. Don't let it bother you...we can still make out what you're saying. And it's kind of cute. :) Your bouquet is gorgeous!!! I know!!! Isn't Sweet Delight a great rose?!! The fragrance is ALWAYS there...and strong and fabulous!!! It looks great in your bouquet! Meg I love orange and purple. Your bouquet is lovely!! What are the white berries? We have a Christmas decoration that looks exactly like that and we have no idea what it is. :)...See Morewoodyoak
