Where do i order a corian shower pan?

Most corian fabricators i have reached out ( few and far left) do not fabricate shower pans.

Looking for a fabricator on east coast preferably.... If anyone had a custom pan made, whom did u use, what did it cost and were you happy with experience? TIA!!

Keep calling, or call bathroom showrooms and ask if they sell corian showers. The online source I know of that does custom shower pans is in Oregon, grifform.com Maybe check with Corian?

Sometimes the size/weight of the door dictates the hinge used, but that should have been figured out in the design stage. Top/bottom (curb mounted) hinges do need mechanical fastening to prevent shifting. So it's really a matter of design. Was the shower designed so the door literally can't be hinged to the wall? Or to an adjacent glass panel if there is one? If it's simply a matter of a non-imaginative installer, then that's another issue. If the doors were already ordered and they are detailed for a curb-mounted hinge, then the glass itself might need to be reordered to use wall hinges.

Well, you put in a pre-slope, so that's good. I think the water will find the weep holes through the mortar (which is porous), so don't worry about that. As for the curb, if the CBU was screwed at the tops only, then it's going to be fine. It's another story if the screws were applied on the bottom/inside near the floor, since water can get through. But "top/inside" should be fine. If there are screws through the bottom/inside of the liner (near the floor), then unscrew the CBU, patch the bottom holes, and put the CBU back, screwing it only near the tops.

@jarusyniak I'd follow @Julie K's tip to find a supplier/fabricator near you. I had just googled one in my area when I was doing my project. The back is one piece without a seam. The seams are in the shower niche and obviously where the walls meet the tub/the slabs come together in the corners. I didn't do coved corners; my installer recommended against it as Northern CA is prone to earthquakes. Hope you're able to find someone!

Do an interweb search for "shower pan to replace tub" and you'll get an idea of what's out there. They're designed so you don't have to move your drain. Do keep an eye on your existing drain location and order accordingly; left-side drain, right-side drain, for example. You can get a tile-on plastic pan, or a plastic pan that does not get tiled upon. Kohler makes a terrific cast iron pan, but that's not for tile. There are several versions that come in high-density foam, they're intended to be used as part of an entire system; a sloped foam pan to be used in conjunction with a certain surface applied waterproofing membrane, then you tile on the membrane. So...yes, there are quite a few manufactured tub-replacement shower pans out there. If you chose to not use a manufactured pan, you can still use a tub-footprint deck mud preslope with a traditional PVC liner over that, with it built just like a typical shower pan is built.

I hve been on the same hunt. Try Kramer shower bases in PA. they do corian custom shower bases and shipping was reaso. I thought grifforms shipping was high.

I have seen some at Home Depot - Dreamstone, Transolid, Castico. if u dont need a non-standard size. i do not have any idea about quality though. my contractor is simply suggesting i do cultured marble if i want one piece - tried and tested. dont know what to do!! 🤷‍♀️
