Is that odd: using single hole faucet with 3-hole vanity top?
Comments (17)I think you have gotten some good suggestions, and if you will actually use the lotion and soap in the dispensers that is a fine solution. (although if this is for a guest bath or powder, will guests know which is soap if you go that route?) I just worry that you like the single hole faucet because you like that uncluttered look and adding extra things in will make it look just as cluttered as two handles would and you won't be happy with the outcome. If that is the case, white plug covers to match the sink would look best, imho. Or ppbenn's suggestion as a nice compromise. You can take all this with a grain of salt, as personally I am a fan of the widespreads, and I would probably get the widespread to fit the 3-hole. ;-)...See MoreHow to align center holes for faucets in countertop?
Comments (5)One thing to be careful of... Ours are all on-center with each other. However, the soap dispenser, when pumped, drops the stream of soap down right along the back edge of the sink. If it were just 1/4 inch closer in to the sink, it would drop it into the sink, where it really needs to be... Lynn...See MoreSet up for 3 holes in granite . What do you think?
Comments (6)You must have a really big sink, Sylvia. The dimensions you mention are the same for mine EXCEPT that's the space above the BIG bowl. Are you measuring inside edge of small sink bowl to middle of bridge??? If you truly have 16 inches of space above the small bowl, then the measurements for spacing holes sound about right. Mine, above the big bowl (I wanted them there and know is not the normal place where people put them) are spaced this way: Center of faucet hole is even with center of bridge. Then airgap is set (center of hole to center of hole) 8-1/2" away, then soap dispenser is set (center of airgap hole to center of soap dispenser hole) 5-1/2" away from airgap....See More2 holes or 4 holes? That's the questions..
Comments (11)Ask any plumber and s/he will tell you that the faucets with integrated sprayers break less than side sprayers. Also, a separate side sprayer makes you have to keep holding it to stay on spray. A separate side sprayer has less water pressure than an integrated sprayer because the water flow has to be diverted to the side. And, it's more holes to clean around. If you are thinking of adding a hot water dispenser, and/or soap dispenser, and/or a disposal air switch, you will have a "forest" of holes to clean around. Whatever you end up choosing, hold off on your granite fabrication/installation until you've made your choice of either a single-hole faucet or multi-hole and side sprayer. Also think about whether you want any of the accessories I mentioned in my previous paragraph. Don't install your granite until you've made your other choices. Have you chosen your sink? Don't let the granite people choose it for you. Get one that YOU want....See MoreKarin Magnuson
