I don't think it looks terrible at all and think a patch would look much worse. Does the finish match the faucet and soap dispenser? It kind of looks black but I assume it's the angle. As long as it matches the rest of your fixtures right there, I think it looks perfectly fine.

I like your set up oldbat2be. Thanks for the picture. It helps to see other placements. I think we want the faucet in the center, because the sink is so wide. We actually haven't even been able to try out this current set up because when we installed the Karbon the threads on the cold water supply got stripped (or maybe were already stripped) so Build.com is sending a replacement. I want to wait and see how it feels to use before making any decisions. But we do like the idea of soap dispenser, so if we can fix the problem we would like to. I really wish I had spent some time thinking about this BEFORE instead of after. :-) Unfortunately it's been too many things going on and too many decisions. My brain (and body) feel a bit fried right now!

Me AGirl: I wasn't going to post the close-ups, but I kinda have to in order to make my point that your idea for plug kits won't work. This is after the first go-round. Notice the elongated adhesive line from 2:00 to 6:30 please. This was created when the fabricator rocked the bit as he was cutting. The elongated adhesive line has been drilled and filled with fitted pieces and color match adhesive. The attempt is to fool the eye from the circle. This wouldn't be nearly as successful on a top with veining or movement like yours. If I made a plug kit, I wouldn't have color, material, particulate, and movement match to start with. You don't have the grinder and the skills to abrade marble without "orange peeling" it. You would get on the internet and tell everyone that my kit and I sucked because now your top looks worse than it did with the two chrome plugs. You need to intimidate a fabricator. Put the top in your trunk, stuff a pillow in your shirt, and start sobbing when the fabricator comes to look at it. We'd jump off a damn bridge to stop a pregnant woman from crying.
