Need help to select carpet and pad for a bonus room over a ca
Comments (1)I am no expert, but, I would go with the thickest pad possible and pick the carpet you like the most. Pick a color that will wear well....See MoreNeed help layout music/bonus room
Comments (5)IMO don’t designate a bedroom at all. When you say music room are drums the only instruments or does the band bring stuff with them ? I would use the sapce you have for the bedroom for the workout space make sure you have a TV in there and mirrors on one wall if weights are part of the stuff. IMO the bathroom really only needs a shower and then you need some furniture for the band to hang out on and one of those pieces could be a sofa bed . so that sofa some chairs, A nice bar area where you show it , nice and close to the plumbing and I would add a small DW too...See MoreBonus Room Layout New Build
Comments (8)What's below it? Is any plumbing roughed in? HVAC? Depending on what's under it, might be issues with noise transmission, hvac issues... Many times these are an afterthought that need electric heaters and mold/mildew can be an issue with no air exchange (since we are talking about potential bathroom) Do you want to finish it like a suite with its own bathroom? Might be cool to do a half kitchen up there to make it like a mini apartment (guest suite) then it would be very versatile as a home theater room, music/hobby room, guest suite, or just another cool ass bedroom...See MoreFormal Living Room Layout - NEED Layout help!
Comments (5)Does "formal" imply you have another space for tv watching? A family room? Or is this the only room for tv? If the former? Make the tv more secondary........use an adjacent wall. Better by far as the need for built in expense will be less, and same with media console and tv. As below...and I will hope that is the case. - you've another tv spot. Truly....... the view into the room is far better this way in EITHER case. A room needs to make CONVERSATION possible; nobody wants to shout at another off in the distance. And that love seat can just as easily be two VERY comfortable chairs. One quarter inch to a foot below. Don't forget a great rug.....9 x 12. Lighting matters.......art matters. : ) The very last thing you need? An accent wall via paint. One paint color will do it.....please. You will get more help if you post some inspo pics of rooms/styles you love. There are no mind readers here......See MoreKevyn Yu
