30" slide-in gas ranges....I'm so confused!!!!
Comments (15)Well, in the end we went to an appliance store in Boston which had oh-so-many ranges on the floor. After comparing several models we ended up jumping up our price bracket to the professional lines. Our top three were the SKS, JennAir, and the Thermador 4 burner. I can't believe I did it, but I bought the Thermador and I bleeping LOVE it. I'm more of a cook than a baker (although one daughter's a culinary student, the other bakes all the time). If I were a baker I probably would've chosen the JennAir - they have an amazing rebate right now. I NEVER thought I would have spent so much on a stove, but I did -- and incredibly -- I don't regret it. Best of luck in your searches!...See MoreLG Studio 6.3 Cu. Ft. Gas Slide-in Range LSSG3017ST
Comments (1)We bought a new gas range about a 15 months ago and went with a GE range that we love. Be sure to look at it. And the price at an independent dealer was several hundred less that Best Buy or other big box stores, on a sale weekend. https://www.geappliances.com/appliance/GE-Profile-30-Smart-Slide-In-Front-Control-Gas-Range-PGS930SELSS...See More30" induction range recommendations?
Comments (20)I strongly considered the Frigidaire FGIH3047VF -- it's a bargain -- but bought the LG LSE4617ST* instead because: The two largest LG elements are 11" and 8" while the two largest Frigidaire elements are 8.3" and 7". The LGs have power-level indicators adjacent to the cooktop elements. I don't like the +/- touch controls of my portable induction cooktop. The LGs have knobs. While I might never use it, the Frigidaire doesn't have a programmable oven cook time. Like the Frigidaire, the LGs' cooktops have raised edges. *I would have bought the less-expensive LG LSE4616ST but it wasn't available at the time. (Note: prices of both have risen in just the last few weeks.)...See MoreBosch Benchmark HIIP057U vs LG Studio LSIS6338F induction range
Comments (10)Thank you guys. @theresa21 , I had a range in the past with the same overhanging glass top (and actually broke the top after a counter install because I was impatient and tried to move it in by myself!) and found that a grease combo would kind of stick in the crease between the counter and the top. Maybe that's not a concern with the Bosch. We shall see. @cpartist Thanks! Do you find that you get enough heat to the entire pan with the lower right burner? I suppose I could always use the bridge burner as a primary if the smaller right burner isn't enough. @Toronto Veterinarian I totally understand where you're coming from. My last decent quality range (in our old house before we sold it and became renters) was an Electrolux range. Given, the "screen" was separated from the flat top so thing were less prone to spilling on it, but I didn't find it to be much of an impediment, and quite like being able to just wipe everything down without needing to pull knobs to get under them. Plus I have a tendency to lean on the front of my range while working on longer cooking projects. Sounds like the Bosch is the ticket for me....See Morepeanutmiracle
