Help w/ Glass Chandelier (Dining Room) & Industrial Pendants (Island)
Comments (0)I'm getting ready to purchase pendant lights for our kitchen island and a chandelier for our dining room (open to the kitchen). I love the lighting choices in this inspiration photo: Do you think the light fixtures complement one another? We have darker countertops than the inspiration photo; ours are blue pearl granite. Our cabinets are white shaker, and our floors are dark (50/50 jacobean and ebony mix). Will these light fixtures work as well with our kitchen, considering the darker countertops? I would think so but have a hard time envisioning. We are planning to do three mini pendants above the island instead of the two larger pendants shown in the inspiration photo. I've already sourced those lights. I'm looking for a glass (not crystal) chandelier similar to the inspiration photo and have found the following options thus far: Pottery Barn, Lighting Connection, Shades of Light, Restoration Hardware, [Houzz[(https://www.houzz.com/products/visual-comfort-george-ii-chandelier-prvw-vr~4275301). Do you know of any other glass chandelier options? I believe I've exhausted my Google capabilities. I would prefer to stay in the Pottery Barn/Lighting Connection price range ($600-$650) as opposed to spending thousands of dollars. Comments (5)It appears your foyer is just not large enough to put any piece of furniture there without infringing on the DR space. You might have a wall mounted shelf on the wall before the kitchen entry and possibly place a stool underneath it for seating. Possibly, not knowing how large your dining table is, you could orient it perpendicular to the windows, which could give you more wall space for your entry. As for the light, just make sure it is over your table. Don't worry about whether it is centered with the front windows....See MoreHelp w/ paint colors in formal dining room with antique white shutters
Comments (11)I don’t think the new color is doing much for what looks like some very beautiful wood tones here! Chair seat fabric is easily changed so I guess the rug is the biggest decider in this space! I’m not usually a fan of cutting colors in half; you loose something in the translation! This just looks drab to me and that’s not what you want in a dining room!...See MoreNeed help w/small dining room
Comments (3)Ducan Phyfe Shield Back chairs...Love them as they are. The 6 in good condition are worth between $450.00 and $1,000.00 depending on your location. Paint them black…in a high gloss; changing the seat fabric is easy. The corner piece, can it find another home? Do you have a chandelier? Would you consider a new paint color on the walls?...See More- last year
