Deviled ham is probably somewhat akin to Hormel's Spam. It was pretty good eating from what I recall. My grandmother always had it out at the family's old lake house, which harkens back to few other things I remember now from summers in MN at the lake: screen porch wood docks Chris Craft large hanging wicker swing and furniture bamboo cane poles cork bobbers Water Gremlin split shot black dacron fishing line worms in a coffee can metal minnow buckets metal clip stringers and metal fish baskets Lowrance green box fish lo-k-tor Mitchell spin cast; Ambassador 5500; Johnson Century; Zebco 202... Bass-O-Reno; Lazy Ike; Daredevil; Hula Popper; Gapen Ugly Bug, Crappie Queen, Doll Fly; Beetle Spin; Lindy rig; Prescott strip-on spinner... and lots of fishing, fish cleaning and fish fries. Crisco and beer batter (Schmidt, Blatz, or Hamms). Still have and use a lot of this stuff and it never gets old…except the cooking oil and beer is changed up from time to time! I haven't seen or had deviled ham in awhile, but this thread will have me looking it up again.

"I’m clearly not great at reading swatches because this will be the FOURTH try of painting the whole room!" Painting a whole room to only be disappointed with the result must be terribly discouraging. I suggested it above but will do it again: consider an on-site paint colour consultation. In my area, it's below $100 for an hour. When you factor in your time mulling over the colour possibilities, buying various samples and your time to prep and paint the room, I say it's well worth the expense. Two friends used the service and they've been living happily with the recommendations for over 5 years now.

Thanks again for helping me out with choosing a label maker. (I am voice to text and I will try to pay attention to goofs as this program creates a lot of them.) I’m one of those nerdy people I suppose. I sort of get a kick out of gadgets but I also like reading reviews and thinking and researching a bit before I buy. I can get carried away and spend more time than I should evaluating the various details. If I spent the same hours babysitting somebody’s dog I could probably buy 10 of the most expensive labelers. Your input was very a valuable and helpful because you gave me a lot of good information to think about and I came up with some labelers that I think rank the best in different categories and I’ll talk to you via in a minute. This may take a long Post cell if you want to just Peru’s by our not bother that’s OK I won’t be offended. PERUSE. My criteria was pretty basic (I think): QWERTY keyboard layout Vertical printing Power block for AC to save on batteries — want this option Display that is readable not so faint. May be backlit. A lot of the Brother LCDs get critical comments Tiny font (would like) — most of the P-Touch label makers only have small, medium and large. The DYMO LetraTag offers Ex Large, Large, Medium, Small, Ex-Small. However is has a good clear LCD Display, but only one regular font. Cable printing Preview Optional margin settings to conserve tape Brother is the predominant label maker in the US and maybe elsewhere. I found three models that I thought were worth recommending or at least looking over. If I recall correctly all of them will print vertically (handy for things like book bindings or perhaps labels). Add all of them will take an AC power block charger or adapter so that you do not have to use batteries. And I think all of them would print labels for cables easily. The three models that I found most appealing, and they are different price ranges, are: Brother PTH110 — about $30 ❗️Brother PT-D210 — about $50 with labels as a Prime Day deal Brother PT-D610BT — about $85 I believe I recollect somebody mentioning that posting a particular vendors URL address isn’t prohibited, but I will just say I looked at vendors such as Staples and Walmart and found their prices appreciably higher than Jeff’s. If you plug-in any of those label maker model numbers into the big river/Jeff’s place you will come up with some results. I was tempted to get all of these or anyone of them. The first to have the LCD display that is often criticized for not being particularly sharp and tweaking it doesn’t help the contrast for intensity very much so. Because poor displays bugged me I opted for one that gave better illumination. In fact it’s in color. But it comes at a price. I chose the Brother PT-D610BT because it has a lot of nice features and is overkill and cost more than I need to pay and is a nerds delight. You can hook it up through Bluetooth or Wi-Fi to a PC, laptop or a smart phone or device like an iPad or tablet. It comes with software or you can download a little editing program that lets you do essentially desktop publishing and you can print out just about any font you can imagine. I think it uses to type fonts that you can edit and maneuver. And if you are interested you can go to any of the reviews or you could look online at various venues to see what I mean. I don’t need any of this, but when I first looked at it it wasn’t that much more expensive than the brother a PT-D210 (which was $63 before the Prime day markdown). I also got the other egg head in the house to take a look at it because I wasn’t sure if I could use the LabelMaker as standalone and get the features I wanted without having it connected by USB cable, Wi-Fi or Bluetooth to my PC or smart device. So he got a little “hooked,” but he would have been fine getting the less expensive one at the top of my list. The answer to my question was yes, as a standalone the D6 10 can be used just like any other LabelMaker and you get a choice of I think 17 fonts, various sizes, a color display and could use various size tapes you have a greater selection of options. I found a nice little case for it (not the one made by brother which people did not like). In fact I found it made a note of cases for the other two on my list. And I think I might’ve saved links for the Optional AC power blocks/chargers for the PTH110 and the PT-D210. When I get the LabelMaker and play around with it a little bit I will let you know what I think. I will make another post commenting on the wasted tape issue that Bluebell66 referred to.
