Perhaps add windows to your garage door? Check with the manufacturer about simply replacing the upper panels. Landscaping is your friend! Consider a small patio in front of your home to link the front door to the driveway....a place for your visitors and friends to stop and sit, an entrance to your home. Beautiful plantings, small shrubs, some pots. Nice patio furniture. You have the space to make an “outdoor room” there. I like your house without shutters and with its natural brick. Embrace what you have...and make it your own!

Beautiful home! Remove shutters, maybe widen frames around windows with brick molding.....a new door with a side light would help balance all the windows. White is a winner color for the exterior of homes now also possibly where we living, in west, dark colors are still strong....navy blues, charcoal, black. Something that will work with the roof.... The roof looks grey?, so a white home with black trim to give the farmhouse vibe could look very nice.....then modern door with horizontal reeded glass and a reeded sidelight to add witdth could work.

First off, congratulations on your new home! I wouldn't paint the brick but I would paint the siding and garage doors a bit darker to blend in better with the brick. Maybe something like SW Relaxed Khaki. Add windows all across the garage door as opposed to just the two on each. You can buy magnetic windows that go right on top of the panels. Paint the downspout lighter to blend in with the brick. The shutters are fine on the right window but too small for the left. You want shutters that each measure half the width of the window. Perhaps you could grow something like white climbing roses all along the half wall and then add lower growing plants in front. If you don't have one, rent a pressure washer, rent one for half a day and pressure wash all the concrete, including the driveway. Hope this helps!

I found your home’s sibling. :) Ok, it seems like you have some good, definitive ideas. I’m not sure how to help ... I think any of your proposed schemes would look great. I came across this and love the blue: Some others: I could post so many more! Other than a Victorian, this style of house has the most fun, unique, varied, and interesting color palette options. Truly limitless. It sounds like you really love the idea of black paint, though ... what’s your hesitation on that?
