The colors look much nicer in the last pic! Do you need the half wall and gate for privacy? For the safety of pets or small children? What color is the roof? If you decide to paint, color should coordinate with the roofing material.

Landscaping will make a big difference.

I like the brick. I think if you did a taupe color from the brick on the garage, with red painted or stained garage doors, it would be stunning.

The little patio is cute! I like the privacy the knee wall gives. I think you just need to improve the landscaping to make that space feel like a little private oasis. I'm not a landscaping expert, but it feels like you need a small tree or two to make the space feel sheltered. And then fill in the bed with small shrubs and colorful flowers to draw the eye and make it feel welcoming.

I would remove the little gate because I don't think it looks very welcoming. If you need a gate to keep pups inside while you're using the patio, maybe it would look better painted black.

I also wonder if a little arbor over the entrance would make it feel more welcoming.

no the wall is not needed for privacy nor pets/kids, but I believe knocking it down would be harder than it looks, as it is truly connected to the garage, with no divide between the two.

The roof is a medium brown color, so yes, paint options are somewhat limited...

I think the shutters are fine for your house. I like the patio, too. I would fill the entire area in front of the wall with a garden. What you have now looks a bit spindly. I'm not sure what grows in your area, so I won't recommend specific plants.

Painting the house turns something that is no maintenance to maintenance. I would not. I like your brick. It is unusual, but attractive. The only cosmetic change I would make is the garage door.

First off, congratulations on your new home! I wouldn't paint the brick but I would paint the siding and garage doors a bit darker to blend in better with the brick. Maybe something like SW Relaxed Khaki. Add windows all across the garage door as opposed to just the two on each. You can buy magnetic windows that go right on top of the panels. Paint the downspout lighter to blend in with the brick.

The shutters are fine on the right window but too small for the left. You want shutters that each measure half the width of the window.

Perhaps you could grow something like white climbing roses all along the half wall and then add lower growing plants in front.

If you don't have one, rent a pressure washer, rent one for half a day and pressure wash all the concrete, including the driveway.
