Calacatta Gold porcelain in 2" HEX?
Comments (4)You sound like you are on the hunt for the same thing I am! The closest I have found is the Marazzi Timeless Calacatta Pearl - it is a smaller hex, but a porcelain calacatta mimic. [Traditional Bathroom[(https://www.houzz.com/photos/traditional-bathroom-ideas-phbr1-bp~t_712~s_2107) by Austin Real Estate Agents Urban Squared Realty, Brickley Team Another option that is similar is the Naxos Sculptur, which has a 2" square mosaic, which would give a similar, if not exact look (see link below) I hope you get lots of other suggestions! Comments (39)Yes, the pic on the web looks much less white on my monitor also but the real tile does have a lot of white with more of a pale gray tinge to the white than beige - I know that different batches of tile can look different for the same tile but this seems pretty extreme. As far as slippery, I don't think I would trust it on the floor but then because my balance is poor, I probably am a bit more fearful in this area. The cof of .6 for when it's wet passes the minimum test of acceptance for a floor tile but I wouldn't use it on the floor. I don't think it would be real slippery but I still don't think it would have enough traction for most - any degree of slippery is too much IMO - though they do have that "non skid clear spray" you can coat on - Here on Amazon...See MoreHoned vs. Polished Marble
Comments (1)The polished will look alot better..... for a few weeks. Even sealer won't stop etching. The honed will look much better over time, unless you don't mind your polished stone developing a "personality"....See MoreWhite granite? Vs Silestone Calcatta Gold quartz
Comments (9)How do you use your kitchen? And who uses your kitchen? Do you have small children? or maybe elderly parents living with you? Are you a messy cook or a tidy reheat take out kind of cook? Are you the kind of party entertainer that cleans right after the party catching the spilled red wine or do you wait until the morning? Do you use lots of olive oil, red wine and mustard? When we had kids I would have loved quartz in our home. My kids used our kitchen as their lab for experiments or a place to make messy pizza or sprinkled cupcakes. We were a messy active family that spilled things. You might not see the spilled food coloring immediately. We chose a dark granite in a graphite color. It was wonderful and worked for us. Fast forward to our home today. We have chosen a white delicate marble with adult kids who only come into town for the holidays. It is perfect for us and we love it. I looked into white granites but there are many that have issues that crop up later. Now that I say that Quartz has had a few complaints too. Here are some links...
