Comments (4)look on 'home decorating' forum and search posts by 'rockybird'. She has a beautiful mid - century mod home in the Phx area and has been remodeling it over maybe the past 2 yrs. She has posted many pics of it pre and post remodel. that might give you some great ideas. she's doing some more remodeling of the kitchen now. might find a pic or 2 on 'kitchens' also....See MoreHow can I make my home's exterior look more mid century modern?
Comments (5)I don't like the dark paint. With your light roof and light stone it looks like someone tied a dark green ribbon around the top of your house. A lighter color would be an improvement. I dislike the planters and would remove them if possible. I would remove the rail if it is not needed for safety. It is probably original but it makes the door seem inaccessible You can buy a full view storm door and paint it and the house door the same color. I love your lamp post. Do you have a porch light? I made an amateurish image of a lighter house with no planters. Do you think the stone is original?...See More1952 Mid Century Modern flooring
Comments (20)@Barbie Clayton - I am a bit confused by your comment regarding not being able to source engineered wood. Not that I am attempting to convince you but I remodeled relatively recently and wanted classic wood floors with the planks being a bit less than 3" and had no trouble sourcing engineered wood. I bought mine before the pandemic and so I am sure that the cost has gone up for all of the materials. I had to have very expensive prep done as I needed self leveling and since I live in a high rise there also needed to be a layer of cork as well as plywood so the installation was approximately $10 per square foot PLUS the cost of the wood itself....See MoreRenovating a Mid Century Ranch.
