How can I make my home's exterior look more mid century modern?

My proposed mockup:

I am a new homeowner and my house was built in the 1950s. It's a fantastic place with good bones, but the outside is looking very overgrown and drab. It has a classic picture window, a mid mod-style front door, stacked stone and cinder blocks for siding, raised bed beneath the window and by the front stoop. There is also a three-seasons breezeway between house and garage.

Any ideas on how to make this look bold and mid century modern? I don't want to do any major renovations, just small cosmetic fixes. New paint color? (Currently dark green.) Cladding? Landscaping?

I absolutely plan to get rid of the juniper shrubs, but I can't envision what to do next.
