Cocoa Bean Mulch deadly to dogs & cats
Comments (2)snopes.com verifies much of this information, at http://www.snopes.com/critters/crusader/cocoamulch.asp One thing I learned is that there are some brands of cocoa mulch that *don't* contain theobromine. The snopes site also quotes Home Depot as saying their cocoa mulch has been stripped of harmful ingredients, though the wording on the Home Depot site is somewhat less convincing: ------------------ Is mulch sold at The Home Depot harmful to pets? The Home Depot offers various mulch options for our customers. A few contain cocoa shells and are clearly labeled as cocoa mulch. Some believe this type of mulch may pose a risk to some animals if ingested. We have received no reports of pet illness from ingestion of this product. We provide countless alternatives for our customers in this category, and stand by the quality and safety of our mulch products for use in the garden and outside the home. ----------------- Since we have several dogs in our neighborhood who occasionally run around loose, in spite of the leash laws, I wouldn't take the risk and buy this kind of mulch....See MoreLOOKING for: Baker's Blond Brownies cir. 1974

Butter and flour 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan. Mix flour, 1 teaspoon baking powder, 3/4 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon baking soda in medium bowl. Melt butter in large saucepan over low heat. Remove saucepan from heat. Add sugar and whisk to blend. Whisk in eggs and vanilla extract. Gradually stir in flour mixture (batter will be thick). Spread batter in prepared pan. Sprinkle with chocolate chips and pecans. Bake blondies until tester inserted into center comes out with moist crumbs attached, about 25 minutes. (I had to cook mine for about 30-31 mins. At 25 they were way underdone.) Cool blondies in pan on rack. (Can be prepared 1 day ahead. Cover and let stand at room temperature.) Cut into squares and serve. __________________...See MoreBrownie frosting ideas

Comments (14)We have medium dark cherry cabinets and decided to go with the dark pulls. We prefer the darker look with the cabinets. We have received lots of compliments on the pulls. We purchased them at Lowes after spending hours viewing pulls online. The pulls are 5" while the rectangle knobs are 2 1/2". I like the fact that they only project out 7/8". There also was a pewter color available. Here is a picture:...See Moresandyslopes z6 n. UT
