Now at least my car does have the compass directions in my rear view mirror, but otherwise that is moi.

Those directions always worked for me on the east coast of FL...where 95 runs N and S, ocean to the east and inland to the west, and most of the roads are perpendicular...same in Manhattan.

But when giving directions to men vs women, the landmarks have to be more specific...guys know the muffler shop, women know the shoe store.

I don't buy chips because I will eat them all, so every day I look in my pantry and am disappointed I don't have chips.

I do that in my house - mostly for the bedrooms on the west side of it.

Interesting, ded. I always thought them synonymous....but then again, if I lived in a trailer park, it would have to all be garbage as trailer trash is something else....

Annie my teaching moment learning the difference between garbage and trash was at my grandmothers house. I learned the garbage went in the pail on the back step. Egg shells, coffee grounds, potato peels, etc. would go in in the slop bucket, i.e. garbage pail, and she'd use it for compost. The paper stuff was incinerated, and bottles and tin cans were the only trash hauled away back then.

angelaid, "trailer trash" is a derogatory term for certain people...you can look it up on line for more specifics.

Sometimes related to residents of trailer parks.
