Thank you all so much for your comments! Just to clarify... I have black louvered shutters on all windows on the front of the house (as shown in the 2nd photo). The first photo shows how it looks since we have removed a few shutters for repair and paint prep. I have seen a lot of tone on tone or lighter colored shutters and began wondering if my black w/white siding on top of multi-color old brick looked too dated. The back of the house has 4 casement windows (upper) and 2 lower. We have never had shutters on these. I noticed that my photos - front and back yard - look almost mirror-image! But that was just a coincidence. Thanks again to you all! Picking out paint colors is tougher than it looks! :)

I think your brick is classic with black and white, as in P Banos' first example. Be sure to paint your downspouts to blend with the brick. ETA - Another thought...this is BM Tarrytown Green that can work nicely with certain brick.

Looking at all the pics you posted, I see that the last one with the dark siding is your current color (Night Gray). I like the last pic WITHOUT the shutters. Leave them off entirely. Your home looks so much more modern and up to date the way it is right now with he Night Gray siding and white trim. If you think you need something around the windows, increase the trim size but I really think it is fine/good to leave it the way it is now.

I want to change the color of my front door and shutter. I also would like to paint my down spouts a dark color. Does anyone have any suggestions.
