Can you post measurements of the room? Also, it would be helpful to see a photo of the dining area so that traffic flow can be evaluated. Do you have photos of the chairs you’ve ordered, or their measurements?

I would get bigger area rug and put console table with wall art on the wall leading to sliding doors, and panel drapes from ceiling to floor and colorful pillows.

Have you tried the couch facing the fireplace?…

Yes that’s how it was before and I didn’t love it however I may like it better if the tv was mounted over the fireplace

I think it would be too high for TV over FP.

I like your rug, but it should be a larger size so the front legs of the couch and chairs are sitting on it. I think a glass kidney table would open up the area in front of the fireplace and allow you to see more of the rug. I wasn’t able to get the angles of the table and chairs right in this mock-up, and I’m not certain the right chair would impinge on the traffic path too much.

I think it would look best to have both chairs face the couch, but that would entail mounting the TV on the wall opposite the fireplace. That may look odd, though, and it is not ideal to have a traffic path in front of the TV. I’m assuming the couch cannot move back about a foot without blocking access to the door. Is that right? An alternative to a coffee table would be a couple of poufs that could be used to put your feet up, or to use with trays when needed.

Yes the patio door is throwing off the position of the couch. If I didn’t use the patio as often as I do then I could push the couch back some more. I LOVE the idea for the coffee table and chair placement!

I know ceiling fans are sometimes necessary (I have one in every room in my house except bathrooms), but I think yours detracts from your room. Do you absolutely need it? Maybe something without lights or with a single light - a bit simpler than you have.

You can replace your bulbs with Edison ones as I show you on my last rendering. Looks better.

Okay I moved the couch away from the fireplace, added a hutch (needs paint) and a 8x10 rug. Anything missing or need to be moved?
