I need you musical advise please.
Comments (31)Good workout music is so important! I have to have music on my mp3 player that matches my pace on the treadmill or elliptical. DH is the opposite; it drives him crazy to think he has to match the beat! I have pretty eclectic mix right now, but it's all good: Robert Palmer - Addicted to Love, Bad Case of Loving You, Simply Irresistible Bon Jovi - Any Way You Want It, In These Arms, Livin' on a Prayer, The Boys Are Back in Town, You Give Love a Bad Name, You Want to Make a Memory Blink82 - All the Small Things Dave Mathews Band - American Baby Green Day - American Idiot, Boulevard of Broken Dreams One Republic - Apologize Bruce Springsteen - lots, but especially Born in the USA, Born to Run Sting - Brand New Day Gloria Estefan - Conga Van Halen - Jump, Dance the Night Away, Runnin' With the Devil No Doubt - Don't Speak Journey - Don't Stop Believin', Faithfully, Open Arms, Wheel in the Sky The Cranberries - Zombie Rolling Stones - Gimme Shelter, Honky Tonk Women, Jumpin' Jack Flash, Let's Spend the Night Together Outkast - Hey Ya! Gwen Stefani - Hollaback Girl Crazy Frog - I Like to Move It Cheap Trick - I Want You to Want Me, Surrender Nickelback - If Today Was Your Last Day Lady Gaga - Just Dance, Poker Face Seal - Kiss from a Rose Pink - Please Don't Leave Me, Sober Natash Bedingfield - Pocketful of Sunshine Aretha Franklin - Respect Michael Jackson - Beat It O.A.R. - Shattered Red Hot Chili Peppers - Snow Kings of Leon - Use Somebody Coldplay - Viva la Vida, Yellow Parachutes Sister Sledge - We Are Family Twisted Sister - We're Not Gonna Take It Black Eyes Peas - I Gotta Feeling...See MoreCooking music?
Comments (23)In my CD changer I have Pat Benetar's In the Heat of the Night album (only one I really loved), AC/DC 1978 Powerage, Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon, and two Eva Cassidy CDs... Songbird and another I didn't note the title. Jamie Johnson was the last CD I purchased... every thing from brilliant to stupid. Marshall Tucker Band's Can't You See was the last song played on my computer. Upgraded my computer's sound with a high powered sound card and expensive speakers. I probably should hook up to my house stereo as Youtube is getting to be a primary source of music for me. Youtube has an amazing selection... and cute kitty videos (watch while supper burns). Just went to fill my coffee and there was Janis Joplin and Melissa Etheridge CDs laying on the counter. On a Pink Floyd kick in general... hmmm what can I cook that would go good with the C-numb solos?... can't seem to put my finger on it. Who is shouting "brownies"? : ) lyra...See MoreYou Know You're Remodeling When.... - A Classic
Comments (18)This is a great thread. We're not remodeling but building a new house, and man, can I relate to a lot of these. ...you know every lighting fixture, faucet, sink, appliance by memory because you have endlessly researched each one. you freak out your own GC because you can discuss minute details about your house/kitchen from memory down to the 1/8". you have more e-mails from your GC/subs than you do from your friends. you wake up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat about some critical detail and then go downstairs to e-mail your GC about it right at the moment before you forget....See MoreDo you isten to music or TV all the time?
Comments (45)I like silence, or natural sounds at least. Only very rarely watch TV or listen to music, and can't sleep with that kind of noise going on. Very comfortable with thinking and living inside my own mind -- in fact, I enjoy thinking very much. Love to hear bird song and the sounds of the children in the neighborhood playing outdoors. When I do listen to music, I listen to music -- serious or other thought is impossible because the music will dominate. I do not understand the rationale of outdoor speakers in neighborhoods. What happens when multiple neighbors with outdoor speakers decide to listen to THEIR music all at the same time? Battle of the bands, or what? How about concern for the effect on neighbors who simply want peaceful enjoyment of their own property? Can music from these outdoor speakers actually be enjoyed when played too low for the neighbors to hear? I seriously want to know. Here, fortunately, we have a municipal code and a police department willing, as they are able (obviously not a life-or-death priority!), to mediate and deal with music played loud enough to interfere with the peace of neighbors, but I feel for those who do not....See MoreZalco/bring back Sophie!
