Living Room/Dining Room Entry Paint Color Ideas
Comments (10)My first question is What is your favorite color? You have excellent neutrals that could work with any color. If you love the cool gray green of Farrow and Ball's french gray I say go for that color. That is a color that can compliment many different colors from the gold warm tan drapes to a fire hot red chair or a deep green alligator. Go with what you like and you will be amazed that it works. If you think the Farrow and Ball French Gray is a little too green based you might consider another FB paint called Light also by FB French Gray FB Light by Farrow and Ball I like mixing cool and warm in different venues for drama. Obviously not all the colors but keeping it simple to two basic hues and working with them is ideal. You have one small wall behind your china cabinet that you could paint in a gold tan to match the drapes but the rest of the walls the Blue gray Farrow and ball you are thinking of would be perfect. Here are some combinations of gray blue and tan that look stunning. Comments (29)Bluebell66 That rooms peak/shape is a bit different/looks higher but I'm just not crazy about those little strips of color running around the room at ceiling height like a 1980's border...gets kind of race tracky. :) Anyways....it's your sunroom and you need to love it so do what makes you happy. I will mention I have woven blinds that I've bought now for probably 9 yrs...in 3 homes; they're the Tuscan woven blinds from Overstock. Super look, cheap and avail in just about ANY width which I've never seen before. My sunroom has 20ish" wide windows next to the door...they even come in that width. They also come in a few diff lengths. You have a LOT of windows and these won't break the bank. Very designer look, operates well. https://www.overstock.com/Home-Garden/Arlo-Blinds-Tuscan-Bamboo-Roman-Shade-with-54-Inch-Height/3705856/product.html?refccid=CUA67T3QAIBYQGSACT5HOOAYLU&searchidx=0&kwds=&rfmt= At one time I was going to get an indoor/outdoor seagrass look rug for our sunroom and ordered samples....couldn't believe they weren't the real thing which I've had. I changed my mind on a rug but if you think you'd like a gorgeous and durable seagrass look, I'll look for the company name....See MoreRuskin Room Green Sun Room ... now what?
Comments (18)I’d firstly paint the white doors. They are too jarring in contrast. Perhaps a touch lighter than the wall colour. Then, some seating. Wicker, as others recommend, is great BUT only if you can find it in trimmed-down versions. Much wicker furniture is bulky, with rolled arms and thick backs. Another option might be wooden outdoor furniture, like ikea’s applaro line. Some plants are a must, but don’t go overboard as they will need to come into your main house during winter. The great thing about rooms like this is that they can be exuberant, really fun, because you won’t be staring at them 24 hours a day all year and so you won’t grow tired of them. So you can do things that would be tacky elsewhere but are simply casual and fun in here—loud fabrics like colourful florals, fuchsia prints on the tablecloths, string lighting, that sort of thing. (This would rapidly become my favourite room.)...See MoreNeed white paint color for room with lots of sun and cool kitchen
Comments (1)This is going to be a subtle pick based on lighting and hard to tell from our computer screens. Try the Benjamin Moore Affinity collection with some marvelous color options. Then paint sample boards of your favorites, large ones, and review them at all times of the day in different locations throughout the space. I would go with the Aura in eggshell sheen....See MoreMarylee H
