IMo stop looking at quartz and check out some of the amazing white real stones instead and of course now that you have a different color for the island all the counters should be the same . I love River White granite but check out the stone yard near you. IMO a plastic fake stone counter never belongs in a kitchen.

We chose Silestone Lagoon for our master bathroom. Again a bright white was used for cabinets.

The lagoon is not as white, but it works well.

It picks up a little gray from the walls, not dingy.

ETA Patricia is always against quartz. We have granite for year's up north, Sometimes you want a change. Quartz is an entirely different look.

It is very popular still.

eld6161 the calcatta gold looks great! Is it the eternal calcatta gold? Do you know what color your cabinets are?

Your best bet is to put the stone sample next to your cabinet sample in the light of your own space. If you can't find something white enough, then lean towards the gray side since you have a gray island.

It's ok if it is not a perfect white to match - shadows, cloudy days, undercabinet lighting will all influence how it looks every day.

Debbie, that's what I was wondering. Is it a terrible thing if the counter is just a bit grayer or warmer white than the cabinets? I'm not sure I ever would've noticed that in a picture or a real kitchen before the fabricator pointed it out. Even some of the prettiest photos on this site have slightly off white quartz on bright white cabinets.

Lisa, the color is called Artic White and cabinets are Ultacraft. Just know that color names can be misleading.

As mentioned, we were given a door sample to bring with us. We did not ask to take a quartz sample home. It was obvious it would work.

Also, I have found samples in showrooms are not always accurate. They could come from runs from a few back.

The professional photos are good for a starting but I think getting info from actual people is even better.

We were lucky to see this quartz in a home.

Yes, I agree that the whites will not be exact.

I think if you chose a creamier white cabinet , there is more of chance of it clashing.

The best thing that you could do is bring a door to the yard. You also have to simulate the lighting conditions in your kitchen. I have white cabinets and quartz does look a bit ”dingy” next to white. I was looking for plain white quartz, had to upgrade a level for a true white quartz. Good luck

I am not a fan of finding the perfect white. Cabinets are painted and counters are stone or resin. They all reflect light and colors differently. I feel like I see more people so disappointed because the counter isn't the exact white they had in their mind.

I would go with a contrast or at least something with some veining.

It took me forever to finally decide on Silestone Eternal Statuario for my countertops. It's very slighly grey next to my Kraftmaid Dove White cabinets and looks good next to the white subway tile with white grout. I'm very happy. The floors are whitish-grey with a light blue/grey runner.

I went all white to escape cave syndrome in my small galley kitchen. I'm adding interest with light wood accents and plants.

I liked Lumina, Minuet, Muse, Etude, and Adagio Gold but I was afraid to take the plunge without viewing a full slab. I also very much liked Empira White but the cost factor was about 2.5x higher than my final choice.

Lisa, I think it is. I am in love with it. It is minimal yet classic. I don't think I'll ever tire of it and the lightness really opens up the space.

We have Viatera Minuet on a bright white kitchen display in my showroom. Minuet looks great on bright white. You can't see it well in this photo...but here it is.

Lisa--did you decide on a countertop? I also have bright white cabinets--they are between a true and blue white to me, and I am struggling with countertop choices because I really don't love the white quartz. I found that MSI had a few that were very white--Calacutta Ultra was one--and would work well with my cabinets. I also saw a few from Caesarstone that would work but they were not the look you like. I think your cabinets would look fine with a white quartz with a gray undertone--but not one with a yellow undertone--especially since your island is gray. bkwrm...I got so exhausted trying to match the white quartz to the cabinets that I gave up and went with black granite on the perimeter. The island has white quartz. It looks beautiful, and I'm actually really happy with having granite next to the oven, cooktop, toaster, etc, so I don't have to worry about heat damaging the quartz. We're waiting on the backsplash, paint and some lighting over the island and window, but I'm very excited with how it's coming along!
